  • oooooooooo gisi ... lovely post ... and you reminded me i want to give blood as O- is low in sheffy so would like to give back from when i have my ectopic i got 2 packs ...... do they do it in an hour or what? sorry ive never done it before x

Sorry chick, do you mean they gave you blood when you had your eptopic? If so I'm afraid you can't donate. It's one of the rules.

But I am massively pro-giving blood and it very straight forward, takes less than an hour and I think everyone who can, should! :D

SM -prob takes an hour or so. Bit of paperwork, drink a load of water, get jabbed and sucked dry ;-) and then cup of tea and a biccie. I went two weeks ago after my 'maternity' break. Tis usually a walk in the park so go for it (but OH keeled over the two times he tried to do it :-)). xxx

I've eaten a whole bag of kettle chips and am wondering why I could easily eat my body weight in crisps but only a chunky thigh-weight in chocolate. Mmmmmmmmmmm...

I think Glad feels that the Secret Squirrel idea falls foul of this rule:
in that it encourages you to exchange personal details & gifts.

I don't believe that organising a Meet falls foul of any forum rule. That's why you've not been stopped from discussing PT meets in various playcentres.

    [re-lurks]

    [de-lurks again]

Personally, I do feel Glad has over-stepped the mark this time with today's posts. Just my opinion.

And I don't feel excluded from being a squirrel. :D

    [re-lurks]

Now I really don't want to start an argument here but maybe people who have been on here (and had posts deleted for) requesting things from others on the thread should remember this when they are quoting the forum rules that forbid it.

I think the WHOLE of the Arms sections is cliquey ...

Maybe you should spend less time on this ONE thread and more time on the wole of the Arms and try and get rid of some of the cliqueyness over there.

Hello SB and aylesburygirl, it is lovely to "see" you both. Aylesburygirl, if you're lurking regularly you should talk to us :)

GISI I also can't donate, for years I was too underweight, then always too recently tattooed, and then living out of the UK no country will take my blood because I lived in the UK during the peak CJD-contracting period and they won't believe that I was vegetarian the whole time. I don't know if I was given blood during my C-section (actually Husband says no) but I have often wished I could donate something useful :(
