I chose my colour theme (silver, ice blue and purple) and bought *everything* I could in those colours and only stopped putting stuff on when I ran out of branch ends :rotfl: I love OTT xmas decs, none of that stylish "less is more" stuff in my house. Only cos I am not stylish and arty enough to pull off anything nice looking :o

I am thinking white star shaped lights with red and crystally shinies.

Congratulations DK. Lovely name. Grace is my favourite girls name and my youngest would have been called it if I had had my way. (I did not get my way she is Holly!)

S's fell off at 7 days, and the midwife said the test to see if the stump was infected was if you could smell it walking into a room while LO is fully clothed. Congrats DK!

Sugar, I personally don't like tinsel, but I like the shiny beady string things, love baubles and I like nice ornaments. I didn't buy tons the first year I needed my own but I have bought a few more really ncie ones each year and now have a lot of lovely ones. Also every year my mum buys my sister and I a nice tree decoration. No idea how many you would need though really so sorry my answer has been almost entirely pointless :rotfl:

  • I really want a glass of wine but I feel it may make me feel worse.

I have just realised that the comments I thought had been deleted from OH's FB have actually disappeared because his colleague has deleted her FB account, which is v. strange......

But on a positive note we have agreed to get MIL to babysit one night next week and go out for dinner just the two of us so we can really talk, which is a step forward as OH hasn't really been interested in doing that for a while.

What are folks with young toddlers doing about keeping Christmas trees away from little hands, or does the novelty just wear off after a couple of days?

GISI I am planning on making sure it can't fall over and not putting anything breakable on it :)

I figure I have managed to teach her not to unpack the shoe rack and not to unpack her clothes from the drawers; a tree shouldn't be too much more like hard work.

Can I jusrt say I really admire you....if i even suspected dh of anything I would be kiking and cseraeming at him...he would propbably be out on the streets by now....you are fantatstic. I would urge you to go and spjk with a doc though because I remember you from preggy therard and you were so in control and a strong person and I don't feel you are now, I fear you may need abit of extra support to get you through a difficult time honey xxxx all my love mel xxx
