Sorry Mel, I find your cake slightly frightening! I think if I looked hard enough, I would probably find a real spider not far off the size of the one on your cake! DH caught another last night. Yuk! (Great for a boy's bday party though! Im sure they will relish in the Halloween theme!
)
Bloody Willow tree website, we have one from when we got married so I thought Id look at the others with the babies. Some of those stories are very touching and upsetting- to the point where one made me burst into tears. DH was just laughing at me being slightly mental- laughing one minute then sobbing the next. Bloody hormones.
Well A has been teething lots since her all-nighter two days ago, no sickness but lots of chewing and biting in frustration, hence the early morning wake up call. Poor thing. She's been crying when trying to latch on too, had to express and use a cup at times.

MEL. Well done on your first cake, it's fab!
IT'S THURSDAY, WHAT'S YOUR NEWS?:beer:0 -
Morning all!
We're ready for your news here too, Mel!
Amazing night here of 7:30-7 which is probably the best night ever!
I'm looking forward to meeting some Dave builders later, although a bit worried I won't be able to find the place!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Becles how is boot camp going? Is it harder now it's freezing cold and dark?!
Yes - it's harder to get the motivation to go when you're all warm and cosy inside. We've got access to the running track now which is flood lit so the dark isn't a problem.
Had to drag me and Charlotte out to the Post Office yesterday afternoon as I had parcels to send for work, but once we got out and got moving, I really enjoyed it. We did all sorts of actions on the way back - marching, jumping, running etc. Hope nobody saw me:rotfl:
Pleased to hear your Grandad is in good spirits.
My turn for a bad night. Charlotte kept waking up coughing and crying, so I was in and out of her bed cuddling her till she dropped back off, then she decided to get up at 6.15am. We've been watching Show Me's on iPlayer.
Another busy day ahead. Got so much work on at the moment and not enough time to do it in!
I saw this article last night:
http://www.glamour.com/beauty/blogs/girls-in-the-beauty-department/2010/10/the-ponytail-look-thats-sweepi.html?mbid=fb_fanpage
I've been wearing my hair like that for years as I think it looks tidier than a normal pony tail with a bobble. I'm a fashion diva now :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0 -
I meant to say last night, very happy for you and new job Aless
so convenient too!

Someone posted some lovely pics yesterday but my mind is a sieve... was it Somnium? They were very very cute0 -
Have fun, southern builders!
MEL, WE DEMAND TO KNOW YOUR NEWS!
Why are all the swag codes released in the middle of the night, grrrr?
Well, our usual 6am baby alarm failed to go off this morning - he woke up at 7!! Maybe it's in anticipation of the time change?Kinda messes up our usual nap schedule, but no biggie - he's getting old enough that skipping his morning nap isn't a huge problem (he'll just kip in the buggy and be okay until after lunch). Speaking of, I never answered SS with our SAHM routine:
6am - baby wakes up and DH gets up to get ready for work; DH feeds baby while mommy sleeps
7:30 - I get up as DH is leaving; Finn usually plays on the floor with toys while I check emails, eat breakfast, etc.
9:00 - down for morning nap. If I need shower, I'll do it here. Good time for cleaning blitzes.
anywhere between 9:45-10:30 (can vary wildly) - Finn wakes up, he gets changed, dressed. At this point, if we have errands we will go out now and do them before lunch. If no errands, then he gets playtime on the floor in-between me cleaning/baking/household chores. He's pretty good at entertaining himself, so long as at regular intervals, I do 5 min focused playtime. On Wednesday, we have rhyme time and Fridays I go to the toy library.
12 noon - lunch time; mommy has her lunch now, too, usually while Finn eats
1pm - afternoon nap; if there's more cleaning to be done, I do it here. Or usually play around on the internet
anywhere between 1:45/2:30 - Finn wakes up, gets booby feed. If have more errands to run OR I didn't feel like going out in the morning, we will do them now, but doesn't happen often. General playtime - not structured, just based on how needy/independent he is being.
4pm ish - I start thinking about dinner, especially if Finn's needs to be cooked and have time to cool. Will often start something while he plays.
5pm - Finn's dinnertime. If we're eating something separate, I often do some cooking/prep while he's eating.
5:30-5:45pm - last bits of playtime to let his dinner go down
5:45/6pm - booby feed
6:15 - bath, every 2-3 days
6:30pm - in bed
DH gets home around 7/7:15, so if dinner's ready for me when Finn goes down, I'll go ahead and eat. If it still needs some cooking, we'll eat together. Then the rest of the evening is ours!So we have some lose structure, but not a lot. I would go to more baby groups, but when we moved I didn't see much point as I was going to back to work soon

Som - I ended up steaming (in the microwave!") them coz when I looked up a recipe for roasting parsnips it said to do them for 45 minutes and I'd left it too late. Would you mind sharing your timings with me? He had a good go but he gags on every mouthful. I have to practically restrain DH to stop him interfering.
OH did them but he poiled them first which only took a few minutes just to soften them. Then they have a little oil and are popped in the oven. We were doing roast pots too so they were in for about 25 min on just a little under 200. We have a fan oven tho and it cooks really fast, so usually if a packet was to say cook at 220 for 20 min we would cook at 200 for 15. Really we just do it by eye.Someone posted some lovely pics yesterday but my mind is a sieve... was it Somnium? They were very very cute
Not me!
SJ - thats a lovely figurine. I really want to start collecting them (havent got any yet), starting with the baby ones. my only issue is where to keep them!
Michelle - have never read the stories that go with the willow tree frigures, not sure I should now! I just love how they look.
Well despite T's late night she still got up as usual, so we hopefully are back to normal today. Got a few things that need doing today so hoepfully she'll be happy to entertain herself for a while or am gonna have to do it while she naps.
Freezing cold here too, time to dig out the cosy toe for the pushchair and Ts hat and gloves.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Are the primarni babygros (adult sized!) one colour or patterned? Do we know if they still have them in stock?
They had LOADS in when I was in the other day. Good news about your Grandma
Alfie was awake earlier again this morning. He's slwoly moved his wake up time from 8.30 to 8. Going to try putting the heating on half hour earlier to see if maybe it's the cold waking him.
Bruno we had frost yesterday morning
Mel where are you and what is your news!
I need to do some cleaning today as with feeling rough with this cold and visiting etc I've not done much this week
Hope everyone is well.0 -
Bruno - It was Redstar with the lovely pics
It's wet and horrid here today
We had another good night here with him sleeping right through until 6!
Had anyone noticed their baby put their hand to their ear a lot? He mainly does it with his left hand when he's tired, but he had both hands over his ears when I went to get him this morning.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0
