Goods delivered I didn't order

Hi, I'm sure this has been covered before but I can't find anything in the archives.
I live in a rural location so order cat food in 2kg sacks online from a certain petshop. Today it arrived, the delivery man started offloading 9(!) sacks of pet food. He said I had to accept it, and I assumed I'd made a mistake on the online form, so would just have to return it. I signed for it with the delivery guy.
However, on opening the sacks, I've actually got, addressed to me on each sack, 100kg of dog food - as well as the 2kg of cat food!
I checked my order online, and I definitely only ordered the cat food. I haven't been charged the £200 the dog food is worth. Every bag was addressed to me - Should I hold onto it? Although I was thinking about selling it, actually I want to donate it to the local dog's home!

Return it to the company - apart from that being the morally correct course of action you have signed for the dog food and so it can easily be traced back to you.0

Contact the company and point out their mistake.
Give them the opportunity to come and collect it within a reasonable time.
Discuss it with them.
If they tell you that you have to send it back say no, they have to collect it (it is after al their mistake).
Keep it in good condition, if they eventually do not collect it (I think its 3 months) or say you can keep it then AFAIK you can
dispose of it how you see fit.
But you MUST contact the company and let them know that they have made this mistake.0 -
I don't think they can charge you for it if it's not on your order. I would insist they get it picked up themselves, rather than you paying for it yourself. Signing for it was a bit of a mistake, though - I would have refused the extra stuff and modified the form they gave me to say not received.0

Notify the company and advise them, asking them to collect their dog food as soon as possible.
If they don't there comes a point at which it becomes an unconditional gift IIRC, though I cannot remember how long that period is.
If they don't collect it you would seem to have three options:
1. Sell it.
2. Buy a dog.
3. Persuade your cat that it likes dog food.0 -

I think dog food has bone marrow in it - and cat food doesn't. So while it's 'safe' to feed a dog cat food, it doesn't work the other way round.
Let them know, keep it in good condition, wait for them to collect it. I think an unsolicited gift is yours after 6 months so long as you've given them opportunity to collect.0 -

Option 4. Donate it to a local dog rescue shelter, who I'm sure would be very grateful of it.0 -
If you are paying for it you can do whatever you like with it. You may want to get your money back and as the original fault was not with you I don't think they can refuse to re-imburse you. Send a copy of the order to the pet food store and tell them what happened and they may be reasonable about it. Oh and of course return the dog food.0

Sorry, didn't read it right. If they find out the mistake they have made and you do not return the dog food they may ask for the payment. Ring them tell them what happened and ask them to come and collect them. The fault may have been theirs but you have £200 worth of their goods. I would think if you give them away the pet shop could demand payment.0
