Tesco Clubcard Deals-Voucher Value Change

Not from what we've gathered (though we're not experts.) We clicked on one of the Cosmos offerings and the link read:
Token type: Cosmos token
Category: Holidays / Cosmos
Location: Worldwide
Suitable for: Families
Product code: S6022 (Where else can I use this token?)
And when we clicked on the 'where else?' link it said Product Code S6022 is for Cosmos/Clubcard Deals only. So if we ordered S6022, then no, the token would not be valid with a different provider.
Wel. . . that's how it seemed to us, anyway.
IT was this bit in how rewards work that made me think you could
Did you know? - tokens can be used for any holiday company in rewards, or for any rewards that aren’t “buy in full”.
1. Choose how much in Clubcard vouchers you’d like to exchange, on the right, and then click ‘add to basket’.
- any change from your vouchers will be credited to your Clubcard Account.

For all those interested in Butlins. I would point out that when I last enquired about doing this, Butlins absolutely withdrew every other discount normally offered were I to pay with Tesco clubcard vouchers. So do the math carefully to see that it's worth burning through your vouchers at Butlins. Obviously, if there's no other clubcard offer that tickles your fancy, then go ahead.
haven did the same .
holiday was £300 cash or £600 in vouchers at the time.A complete waste of vouchers in my opinion0 -

I understand where you are coming from but if there is nothing else you want then £150 worth of vouchers for the holiday is still worth it...isnt it?0 -
Sorry to sound thick but does this mean that if I have £50 in Clubcard tokens I can get £200 in Goldsmiths vouchers and if I want something that's just £210 I can still use the reward token and pay £10 in cash?
Thanks!
They have temporarily suspended the minimum spend on Goldsmiths.0 -
Does anyone get their kids to collect discarded till receipts lying around the checkouts and then claim the clubcard points if no card used?? A 'friend' of mine does0

Previous posts of mine may have inadvertently given the impression that I think Tesco is only in it to make money and that the timing of this revision of the ClubCard Deals / Rewards scheme is such as to give loyal customers no chance of trading in their about-to-be-devalued points before the December 6th 2010 deadline.
Such impression is, of course, entirely erroneous, nor was ever intended.
My November Clubcard vouchers totalling £41.50p arrived here yesterday morning, and when combined with our existing collection have enabled us to prospectively acquire half of a foreign holiday next year, subscriptions to BBC Good Food and PC Pro magazines, some Thorntons chocs, and subsidised admissions to the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve ('Naturewatch') Norfolk.
I was able to put through all these transactions yesterday morning with change of £1.50 carried forward to our next statement, by which time that amount will be 'worth' £4.50 instead of the current £6 but hey, what's £1.50p?
I have now received an email from the wonderful people at Tesco to say 'Tesco com Deals order despatched'.
Obviously, any previous comments of mine that may have been open to misinterpretation need clarifying, so:
1) Lidl is not better than Tesco;
2) Sainsbury's Nectar points are absolute rubbish;
3) Waitrose may be very nice but there are better ways to spend one's housing equity;
4) Tesco is a world-leading humanitarian organisation staffed by the most efficient and adorable people anywhere.
There. Apology over.0 -
Very nice. Haven't got mine yet, which will be £70 and therefore worth £280 off an already booked holiday, which is therefore currently at (some risk). And when I get the vouchers I then have to apply for tokens, wait for tokens to arrive (dependent on Royal Mail -great...) and then send off to the holiday co, all before the December date.
Therefore for the moment, Tesco remain (potentially) a bunch of scamming, scheming, rip-off merchants. Guilty until proved innocent...0 -
Actually, I can now also confirm all of PhylPho's comments and that Tesco are indeed lovely and fluffy.
They publish the details of your vouchers online - no need to actually wait for postal delivery. Just go into 'My Account' (there's a thread on this doing the rounds, long-lost points now available to spend etc) and within 'My Vouchers' the codes are published, and can be used - so just ordered my tokens.
Now just need the not so lovely and fluffy Royal Mail to avoid striking until they send my tokens...0 -
Bill the best way to ensure that you get smaller donominations is to order, different amounts from restaurants, days out, hotels. Remember that any products with a code starting with S means that the tokens will be interchangeable between rewards. If you order all of one code you may receive high value tokens rather than smaller value tokens.
Hi Trish I'm thinking of booking a Holiday Cottage break not sure of the cost yet but if I order to many can I use them on anything else that begins with S? Restaurants, Pubs & Bars ect.
Also what's the best way to order different amounts to get smaller donominations?0
