Washing machine, is it returnable????

In order to get A rated cleaning AND a cheap machine, IMHO corners have to be cut somewhere.
Less noise insulation and longer cleaning cycles sound like a way to save manufacturer costs.
There's a reason Miele's cost £1000 and have a 20 year warranty...0 -

You wouldn't believe how long it took me to make my Mum understand that if she put it on a short programme then she had to manually select a fast spin at the end, she was spending ages line drying washing which was still quite wet!
I can't work outwhy machines have slow spin speeds at all. Surely, you spin the clothes to get the water out, so spin as fast as possible.
I spin everything at full speed, 1400. It doesn't do anything any harm, and is certainly what I want for my woollens, as I want to get them as dry as I can, as quickly as I can.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.

Mine has the running time on it which is the most useful thing I never knew I needed till I got it. I can see at a glance how long is left to go and plan some things around it.I'm intrigued by how many people know how long their wash loads take, do you all sit watching them with a stop-watch?0 -

Agreed! I can't understand it myself. I suspect it's because they wanted to advertise the machine has having a 30 minute "Quick" wash, and this is to be achieved by cutting the spin cycle short!
The only thing I can think of is that faster spins do tend to crease fabrics a little more, especially if you don't remove them from the wash immediately.
I use washing machines a lot, I have two of them

If your washing something delicate you may not want to spin it at a high speed simples. It put more stress on the fabric.0

If they are THAT delicate, you don't machine wash anyway (or don't spin, just drip dry).
I haven't had any clothes that were damaged by spinningI try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.
