Hi folks,
We have been in contact with Opus, who alerted us to these threads, and want to pass on some information from them, and a phone number if you wish to ask them any further questions....
Thanks for the above, I am pleased to see they are watching this forum and taking our custom seriously. We didnt ask to be transfered, and no explaination has been given.0 -
I have today tried to register my card on the number given (020 7871 0465) and cannot get through!! this doesnt bode well for future customer service calls...glad to see its a UK number and can be called from a mobile though.0

I never used the card when it was under the Citi organization. When I received my card with a 31% apr I duly cut it up in 4 parts and stuck it to the agreement with the endorsement "I do not deal with sub prime lenders and card to be cancelled".
I have the very best of credit cards with excellent promo rates of 0% and with some APR's of 10.8%.0 -
Do Opus have a log in site to manage our account? Can't seem to find it0

Ive tried ringing the above mentioned phone number but it keeps wanting to register the card then cuts off...
anyway as ive only got this as a life of balance card but i may have to use it for a month.....do they load the purchase interest behind the promotional rate or are they not allowed to do that anymore???0 -
Thanks to everyone for their insights.
Here is one which is troubling me - I am not too keen to hold Opus card which is basically crap according to me - although I have a zero balance.
What happens to my credit history if I close this card - do I lose the past history I have built with CitiCard? Or is that gone irrespective as the card management has been transferred. I could just keep this card in a dead mans chest and keep the history - but I would then be extending my credit limit with the outstanding credit cards on the history - meaning an unused credit of XXXX amount which would again (may) bring my credit score down
Any thoughts would be appreciated
Rgds
Harbinger.Recession - if you are forced to drink beer at your home.
Depression - if you have no beer to drink at all!
I don't see any of the above - so where is it (recession)?0 -
I rang Opus today and asked if the special offer interest rate I received for the life of the balance was still in place after the transfer from Citibank. The customer service rep checked my account and said that the interest rate was 5.9%. When I told her it was supposed to be 3.9% she said that 5.9% was what Citibank had told them I was being charged. I now have to find proof (luckily I have the original confirmation letter) and send it to their customer service centre to appeal against the 5.9%.
I would recommend that you don't take it for granted that the interest rate from Citibank is being honoured and take the time to call and check the rate you are being charged.0 -
Has anyone managed to get hold of these ba****ds. I have been trying for 3 days to correct some of the details they appear to hold and to get a PIN for one of the cards. I have even contacted then via their website but has had no response whatsoever.
Only in banana republic you find yourself suddenly forced to be a customer of someone you have never heard of or wanted to deal with.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0
