I can confirm that in my area DHL also use some plain whit vans, these are usually self employed/agency drivers sub contracted by DHL. So don't rule them out.

Most delivery companies will have their usual coloured/marked up vehicles but will also have plain white ones as well. I know this because I used to work for UPS, our depot had around 30 of the famous brown UPS trucks but also around 20 plain white Mercedes Sprinter vans which were provided by an agency for agency drivers.

I think it's slightly unfair to start pointing the finger at big courier companies, it could just as easily have been Fred the plumber on his way to a call.

In that case I suggest the OP contacts Fred the plumber.

? The Police will be "following up"?.........yeh, right.
They have been known to take samples of the paint - if they commit the resources they will be able to analyse the paint sample and often the make/model will come out of that.

Do any neighbours have CCTV? If you only have a shot of vehicles passing down the road, it may help you narrow it down.

One neighbour did have CCTV but once again it doesnt work, just looking on the net for one atm, there is CCTV nearby and will be asking the police for that or at least for me to look at it

I have been where you are OP, and it is not nice.

Although there is a law in place to supposedly try and protect us from this happening, (failing to stop at an accident/report to the Police within 24 hours) this is only ever any good if you know who did it as the Police don't have the time to go looking for you.

I would firstly report this matter to your local Police force, the number can be found on Google or in your local phone book.

    Then contact your insurance company.

Do you have many businesses near by you? If so, maybe a quick check of there vans in the yard may pull some luck out for you.

However, the main problem you'll have now is not only finding the person but also proving it was them.
I also think that people driving vans care very little about the damage they cause to them, hence why they would rather not stop at ana ccident.

I hope you manage to find the careless driver and the Police support you in such.

Im really pi**** now, guy came down and quoted me on the car £3500 of damage.

Have spoken to a forensic company with the possibility of sending off a paint sample to them, to find out what van make.

My uncle came down to have another look at the damage and has concluded that it had to have been done by a van as the damage is not just on the surface.

All companies have come back stating that it was not them.

I will be emailing all companies involved asking them for the make and model of who delivered, so when paint sample comes back i can naorrow it down.

Also am investing in some CCTV at a cost of £300 to combat this, although I expect that whoever did it wouldent be back again.

It is starting to really annoy me now as even if i find out I have no way to proove it was them.

I believe DHL and others often sub-contract deliveries to self employed drivers.

this time of year a lot of courier companies are employing owner drivers to deliver stuff, they won't always be in company issue vans. they will be using thier own vans, which could be any colour.
