can I ask a few questions about this board
who decides what is a christmas moneysaver or not
these days kids tend to receive PC's, X-Boxes, TV's etc for christmas, if in Dec somewhere has a good deal on these types of items should it go in the christmas board? same with toys, jewellry, champagne and clothes, most of the year they are grabbit bargains but from Nov on they are all potential christmas presents,
if I'm looking for an obscure item to give as a christmas present do I post it in I wanna or christmas board?

will it be on the site forever or only near to christmas? some people shop for christmas all year round
I really feel that this is just one extra place people will have to look when looking for bargains as who knows which board they may find their deal on,

sorry to put a dampner on the idea but these are things crossing my mind

These are some of the presents I have made and have been a huge hit-
Buy cheap large mugs from Wilkinson's (mine were 50p each) get some florist cellophane, put whatevver you like in the mug, I put mini marshmallow packets and sachet of chocolate, cover with the florist cellophane and big bow, my kids love it. Just like the store ones but so much cheaper.
The kids have made their own picture frames at school, put their photos in, the grand parents love them.
I buy BOGOF sweets all year round and make up my own selection boxes much cheaper than the xmas ones that you pay for the box and not the contents!
I have writen letters/poems of what the person means to me-that always goes down well
Use last year's tins, line them with grease proof paper and make home-made decorate ginger men/biscuits/fudge

  • I think this is great, after all it's only 76 days to Christmas:eek:

That's a rough calculation by the way, and I've had a busy day

    Thanks MSE

  • What should we call it? Why not "Christmas forum!" Do we have to feel apologetic about celebrating Christmas now. Surely everyone can celebrate whatever is their particular festival of their faith and there is room for everyone here and at the end of the day the main thing is about moneysaving
