Well we could indulge to our hearts content in Christmas related subjects - without incurring the Wrath of our fellow MSE'ers who may not share our enthusiasm for all things merry
Ofcourse they are all welcome during the times when they feel they require a quick fix of hollyberries and jinglebells
It just seemed like a sensible thing to seperate them from all the various forums tomake it easier for everyone to find it and not annoy those who don't want to be reminded about the season until late novemberDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Well, instead of simply a Christmas Forum, perhaps a "Celebrations & Special Occasions" Forum would be a good all (year) rounder?
Often the subject of birthday gifts, mothers/fathers day, christenings, weddings, Easter, Valentines, Girl related, Male related, Granny/Grandpa ideas are asked for and covering a few boards as well as Halloween, Guy Fawkes etc.
However, this whole topic would probably get better coverage if it were posted in the Site Feeback: Questions & Suggestions Forum and be seen by those who are better placed to answer/do something about it
Over the time I've been on MSE, there are countless occasions where people post topics in one board when there is another board which could be deemed more appropriate or they post on all the one's they feel are relevant to bring it to as many people's attention as possible. So, even with a dedicated sub forum for "Christmas" or "Celebrations & Special Occasions", with the best will in the world, you would still find the subject being posted in several different places.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I agree with Queenie - Celebrations and Special Occasions, then it would include those who celebrate Diwali, Hannukah etc
Edit: Oooh, my 100th post!We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
That's a really good idea. This forum will no doubt end up swamped with mince pie and christmas pud problems nearer the time so it would be a good idea to keep them separate. I agree it would be good to include all celebrations.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0
