Sounds tasty!
I've never been able to over-cook brisket, it just gets softer and softer, so can't see any problem0 -
Thank you
It's in now... I'll let you know what it's like tomorrow!0 -
I suspect it will be very tasty I know the twice I cooked a full chicken it just fell off the bones and I found I could cut the cooking time down. I have heard of the ham in cola meal. I have many more to try which I am looking forward to doing.

Funny, that's what we're having today! I put it on high at 10 :30 today for about 3 hours then turned it down to low. I will keep it on low until about 17:30, take it out, cover it and let it rest before carving. The meat will fall off, very tender! So, total cooking time 7 hours, 3 of which were on high, makes the equivalent of cooking on low for 10 hours. One life - your life - live it!0

Looking back at your post, being only a pound in weight Happy's timings might be more appropriate. I certainly believe that if your slow cooker has a high setting, a couple of hours or so on high will kick start the process then you can keep it for several hours on low with no ill effects. One life - your life - live it!0
