Well I have a wee problem with LCH - when paying for holiday £737.48 found an extra 2.95% charge and £40 for boarding (Ryanair). Ok can live with that was then given an amount £796.64 paid by CC then gets CC bill its £861.58. Calls customer services and explains umpteem times that this is wrong amount - (can even go online now and get holiday for price I said it was) Their site says total bill paid £674.42!
Am waiting for their accounts department to call me??????
Any ideas?
Why would anyone book Ryanair flights with anyone other than Ryanair ?0 -

When booking with lch you dont know what airline you are getting till you have paid your money.:mad:0 -
wow! this just happened to me.
here's what happened:
1. I chose a cheap holiday leaving this week for the canaries on lowcostholiday.com
2. went to payment page, filled out all the details correctly.
3. click on SUBMIT to complete payment...only to be presented with a "sorry an error occured, please contact the site administrator" or words to that effect.
4. checked my credit card online and my card was charged with the amount for the holiday.
5. no email confirmation. no booking number. nothing.
6. phoned the low cost holidays "post sales" number. they couldn't find any booking in my name. They told me to ask my bank for the transaction ID on my bank statement!!!! Have asked for the transaction ID of the lowcostholiday charge and am waiting now for the bank to get back to me.
I travel a lot and have never experienced problems like this before. I have had websites crashing but I have always got an immediate refund - only happened to me twice in 20 years of travelling.
it's a while since the first poster raised this topic...just wondering if their situation was ever resolved or lowcostholidays are one of these dodgy companies and I should forget about the holiday and the money.0 -
I'll give you my experience of Lowcostholidays.
In Oct 2009 a booked a holiday to Rhodes with them for Sept 2010. Balance of holiday was paid in July 2010.
Soon after paying balance I had an e-mail saying that my flights were booked through Goldtrail and that I would need to either book new flights or another holiday. I opted to do the former and was told that I would get a refund for the original flights in 8-12 weeks.
I submitted an ATOL claim from to Lowcostholidays for my refund of £1022 in August 2010.
To date, myself and thousands of others are still waiting for refunds.
The original 8-12 weeks took us up to November. Then I was told “another 3-4 weeks”, then it was “by Xmas” and then “another 2-3 weeks”.
As far as I can tell no one has had a Goldtrail refund from
Lowcostholidays. However, people who booked with other travel agents got their money back in October, if not sooner.
Lowcostholidays are slow to respond to e-mail queries and if you ring them it is on a premium rate line and you are kept hanging on for ages.
It’s true that they do pop up from time to time on various forums offering apologies for the delays in refunds.
That is just paying lip service to the problem. Words are cheap, its actions that count.
As for my holiday –transfer was by taxi, four adults and luggage crammed in like sardines with the boot not shut properly. We arrived at our accommodation in the middle of the night to find one room booked and not two. Luckily for us we have stayed there before and the owner was able to sort something out for us the next day.
Beware Lowcostholidays? Definitely.0
