Done a mammoth 12 hour shift today as its bank holiday - and an enhanced rate of pay.
Fed up with being a landlord at the mo, sick of having no surplus income from it once the mortgage, expenses are paid. Not really enjoying the hassle.
Just been sent a list of things to meet uni standards to keep being a member with them, need to keep in with them really, as there's so much student housing in this city, so by being one of their top rated landlords really helps to find a tenant. However, have been looking and I'm all for decent standards, but most improvements aren't legal requirements but are eating into any small surplus I do get.
I spent £2500 last summer and it looks like I'm heading to do the same again.
Mostly I'm annoyed as my tenants are three months in arrears, and whinging because they have snapped the shower holder off and its all apparently my fault.OPs so far £42,139

Hi there
Just a quick thought regarding your old house that is on the market.... if it's empty you should not need to pay full council tax
Also worked a 12h shift today-dead!0 -
I know it's hard going at times but think of the future when the mortgage is paid off and all that excess income is yours - it's what is going to let me retire 12 years early - so it IS worth it eventually :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

First day of PGCE placement in school tomorrow - can't wait but I am nervous.
28 weeks pregnant tomorrow as well so starting to feel huge, although still don't look pregnant.
Have had news on the tax credit overpayment £399 so not ridiculous, going to pay it off in one go, not in installments so we are clear.
Had some spendy days recently going to the seaside, forbidden corner, but was worth it these are memories we are creating for the kids.OPs so far £42,139

I know, it's just the constant keeping up with the uni standards, lots of the larger landlords don't bother, but with such a surplus in accommodation we feel we have to.OPs so far £42,139

Survived PGCE placement, would love to make another OP but can't really as I'll be on SMP from August, and we haven't bought anything for the baby yet.
We need to as we gave everything away when we moved. Haven't even got a baby grow.
Life plodding on well really. I'm starting to dare tell people in real life I'm pregnant, its only taken me 30 weeks. I don't like attention, and I think I'm petrified of something going wrong.OPs so far £42,139

We weren't gonna find out with ours and before we did we were given a load of newborn girl bits which we now obviously don't need. If you'd like them give me a shout xUpdating soon...0 -
Haven't been spending much recently and it shows. Current account at over £4.5K, would love to OP but can't as I'm anticipating needing the cash for childcare to finish my PGCE.
At least we have savings for the first time in 5 years.
Maybe I'm nesting not sure, but have done two tip runs today and cleared out the back porch, utility, and garden shed.
Was going to buy baby a new chest of drawers but have decided to put some new handles ( it has three missing currently) on the one in our bedroom:money:OPs so far £42,139
