Back from our four days at the coast, decided £120 going across as an O/P.

Mortgage out - so only £291 to last 22 days, has to include £30 of Direct Debits.

Car only used half a tank to do 200 miles so very pleased with that.
    OPs so far £42,139

Now I know the locals like to think that we are very 'posh' area:rotfl: - Orlando Bloom owns a second home here (not really sure why?):rotfl: - and most of the Emmerdale cast can be spied in the local pubs/supermarkets - never agreed with it myself, however it has gone up a notch even by my estimates.

It has been so hot (and three years of pregnancy/over eating has left me in need of new clothes - I had a huge clear out last summer whilst Lily was a newborn)

So instead of my usual cheap shops (I thought I would have a real good go at the local charity shops) on first impression they always look to have nothing.

I was wrong, very wrong. Burberry wedges £249 (absolutely ridiculous - can be bought on ebay cheaper, however shows the standards in some local stores)

However I picked up a skirt in my size, thought it felt nice, it was nicole farhi - I paid £3.50

    Nicole farhi gladiator sandals £2.99

    Zara skirt £4.99

    Wallis skirt £4.99

    M&s BNWT top £1.49

Jaegar hand made with seaquins top £2

Sticking to my £20 budget I skipped over two BNWT Wallis 3/4 length skirts - bit wintery but for a fiver may return tomorrow.

Then onto Clarks for shoes (I won't compromise growing feet only waistlines:rotfl:)Got DD1 some shoes last season pink t bars for 15 - very pleased as I had capital bonds for surveys so effectively free. Great that clarks takes them.

Evening at the local wacky warehouse having a nice pint with D.

£8.40 on essentials at Morrisons should see us through the weekend.

3 days into the diet - 9 miles walking per day ( 3 stone will disappear:rotfl:)

9 miles walking per day. My goodness. You'll lose your 3 stone before me. Are your two still both in a buggy? I might get a couple of miles out of mine, but my littlest moans after about one.

Sounds like you got some great bargains. If i were you i would have bought the skirts with tags and sold them on ebay.

Had a great weekend - out with friends sat night, took our girls to the coast on sunday - shame we live a 2 hour drive away

Looking at online banking £207 to last 13 days, spent £90 in the past week so should be doable as this included £40 on petrol, night out spends, even squeezed in £40 on clothes/shoes for me and DD1, weeks grocery shopping was only £10 -but will need to spend more this week as the cupboards are bare.

Have applied for an advantage card, had one years ago, lost it - then don't shop at boots much but have decided better than nothing.

    Redeemed GTM points.

Going to apply for cashback credit cards as I'm not having any luck with quidco, tcb as I only really spend on groceries, petrol.

OH not very impressed with the idea of cashback credit cards - when we got together (we were 18) he was already in a lot of credit card debt. £7000

It took 7 years to clear, only cleared it 2009, he told me it was cleared in 2007 just before we bought our house, but when DD1 was a newborn 2008 I opened his mail to see what was going on and found the full horror:mad:

However, as we do our own finances and I have two with nothing on them, I have applied for the halifax clarity - whereby if you spend £300 a month you get £5 cashback, seems straight forward I have online banking so can easily pay it off online like I do with my current halifax credit cards.

Also opened a joint account and reward current account with the halifax so an easy £10 when I transfer £1000 each month. I had one but they downgraded it when I didn't pay the £1000 in one month last year when my rental property was vacant.

Couldn't persuade OH to upgrade his halifax current account, which is madness as his wage, which he has paid in monthly is more than that.

Doo Yoo have said my cheque will be processed with the next batch been waiting since 14th of March, so not impressed. Once I receive cheque I will start rating again. Don't want to do anymore without payment.

Bit odd you haven't had the DY cheque. I normally find 14/15 working days maximum as they post them from France. Have you had any reviews locked for not being a good enough quality? Any reason why they might not pay do you think?

Not sure Michelle, from looking at reviews on here (a lot of people seem to have had problems with the first cheque, but subsequent ones have been quicker)

I asked if mine had been locked, none had, the first email from them said check them for standards. So I did, my shorter ones 200 words ish I increased.

Had an email today saying that they had checked them and no problem, so my cheque would be received with the next processed batch.

Actually, thinking back my 2nd cheque was a lot quicker and i was like you, and didn't do anything on the site for a few weeks while i waited. I've kept going this week though and up to about £9 already.
