Okay - So a few months ago in West Yorkshire someone who was Irish did the doorbell and was selling memory foam mattresses out of a white van, don't even think he told a story, anyway I bought a mattress for £100, he was asking for more but I had £100 on me and wasn't interested in paying anything more, the mattress had the sticker Cozy Dreams on it

As far as the mattress goes, it's fine and does the job. I didn't expect it to be anything great but for me it was perfect timing, I sleep fine on the mattress and for £100 it was worth it,the funny thing is that whole week I was complaining to my family that I need to buy a new mattress which I usually get from the road at a local bed shop and their normal mattress are £150 so for me it was right. My old mattress was literally ripped apart and springs totally gone so I needed one and whether it is a scam... low quality or something else it does the job.

Anyway I made the post because I saw another post when someone was asking about the quality and if it is worth it

So your saying people should buy mattresses from a stranger who knocks at your door for no reason?!
You're saying even if it's a scam it does the job..hmm...
You need moneysaving expert more than most
  • New poster Hmmm,
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

For me it was perfect timing, I have never done this before, buying something from someone who just knocks on your doors or talks to you in the middle of the street.

A scam or not, £100 isn't much so whether they are only worth £70 I am not too bothered, I just made the post because I saw someone asking about the quality, if someone comes to sell you one you can make up your own choice on whether to buy it, I am not pushing anyone to buy it.

Isn't it funny that while these 'white-van-men' leave a trail of dissapointed customers in thier wake you always come across a Newie who got a good deal.
Still i'm glad Mrs White Van Man is pleased......

    Are your jimmies rustled?

Whats the problem? you or someone you knew were a bit stupid and actually gave away £300 for these mattresses?

£100 isn't much ... whether I got the mattress and realised it was worth nothing and was a load of rubbish I would have tossed it out and learnt from my mistake

Why are you on a money saving site if you can afford to just "toss away" £100?

    I had a guy in a silver van!!!!

Came out my garden gate and van stopped and he asked did I know anyone interest in great deals on mattresses? I said, "No!" Walked on and ignored him. Told a friend later and she was, why didn't you ask the price? I chose not to answer.
