OS meet in Edinburgh Nov 27

Hi all - this was my first time going to a meet and I haven't read any threads post-meet before so I didn't know that photos were often published. I'm quite a private person really and find Edinburgh quite small in certain circles so was a bit shocked to see myself in the pic. I would happily have stood aside had i known it would be published on MSE, so I'm sorry for not knowing the procedure.
Csarina - I hope you read this - as i stated in my PM to you, I contacted a Mod only because you had posted elsewhere on the forum that you have had trouble with your inbox today. I didn't want the photo up any longer and thought the best thing might be to contact a Mod.
I certainly enjoyed yesterday but didn't know that photos are all part of it. Sorry folks!

There's no need to apologise WMF, we didn't really discuss whether or not our pictures would be posted and tbh I was a bit uncomfortable too, Csarina, you were gone yesterday by the time we were discussing protecting our privacy on MSE, and the internet in general, and wmf has real and particular reasons for asking for the photo to be removed, and you have been having problems with your pms - it kind of makes sense to ask someone else if they can help just in case the poster(in this case yourself) doesn't get the message or is offline for a wee while. I sent you a wee pm earlier today, which sounds like it might have been one of the ones you lost too. I don't think for a minute there's been any malice meant. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

I'm just this minute home
roads were too horrible for my 6'3" dropdead-gorgeous toyboy:rotfl: to run me home as arranged, so I got on the train
Dundee is a nightmare  buses off, I walked home, stopping at a hostelry halfway for a sustaining (large) glass of wine to help me on the last leg
was great to meet Marie, Jackie & Divorcingjack again & to meet all the new (to me) people, I hope we can all do it again :A
many thanks to lacara* for organising the meet :T :T :T
*did you notice me walking head-on into the bin as I waved you goodbye?:rotfl:

Glad you are home safe in Dundee Swan, it is a nightmare here, thunder and lightning since yesterday and the snow just won't stop. And you walked home:eek:0

Hi folks....by the time I got home yesterday I felt as if I had walked all the way!
Was lovely to meet so many new faces, including Mrs Doyle, who will, I hope join us and not just lurk in the future.
Swan...you must have been even more tired than me when you got home...would love to have seen you if you were walking into lamposts in Edinburgh....
Next time can we have a summer meet please, as at the moment I never want to see another airport!
Thanks la cara

hello hello everyone!
Gosh - I missed all the excitement! (and the photo - can someone PM it to me??) Meanmarie - I have taken your telling-off to heart and cleared out my inbox
Had a fab time meeting you all (some of you again!), looking forward to a warmer meet soon! Travelling wasn't too bad for us, but we had fun on Sunday - snow all over the place!
I'm not going out today if I can help it.
More Scotland meets! Thanks lacara for organising.

PS: I will make mum post on the thread soon - she will no longer be a lurker.
PPS: Found a gorgeous dress - mum cried. I cried - but mainly at the price! Already looking around for MSE bargains online...
