Thanks for asking...........heres the update.

Slight flight delay but nothing excessive, arrived into Girona around 11pm then making it 12pm/am! Staright through baggage reclaim, 1st cases off! then got a taxi, no queues at all. Off to the Hotel, 35 euros for the taxi. At the Hotel for 12.45pm/am ish, a few sullen looks from guests on the stairs we had to negitiate past but hey! Got to room for 1am, 3rd floor up, clean and adequate.
At this point we were tired so prepared for bed! then we realised there was a footy match going on next door they then took it out to the corridor! I was close to tears, what have I brought the kids too! but all did settle down within 10 mins, we settled down for the night.
The Hotel in all fairness caters for a heck of a lot of people, its in need of modernisation and it was the end of season. Most of the staff wern't fluent in English but as my Spainish is Ola and Beero I shouldn't complain!
The nextdoors moved out that day s we were pleased! Our next new neighbours were out of this world strange! Running a bath at all hours but it didn't really disturb us. The food was ok, better than expected. The bar was good, better than expected. The hotel was ok and the pool etc was adequate! The town was quiet to what must be intolerable in the summer (for me anyhow) the total guest occupancy must be high judging on the number od skyscraping hotel we passed. The beach is fun! The shingle is not so fun, hurts your feet a lot! The rolling waves were loved by my boys but they are 13 and 16 but under no circumstances would I take any under 5's with me! But if you find yourself there with ikkles then take care, lots of care!
