Can they take further payment? as i've checked my bank and paypal it states the £25.99 has been taken which was the price after reduction.
I bet i had an email but they have been deleted forever
Not sure how we stand as this has never happened to me before.0 -
I guess we sit and wait a few more days.
What's everyone else doing?0 -
I received my item on Wednesday. Then the email to my junk folder on Wednesday evening. Then this morning I received a letter - Order Invoice.
"The following items have not been included with this shipment"
DSCVCH
This despatch completes your order
Goods total 0.000
Credit/debit forward 0.00
Monies received 45.00
OVERPAID £ 45.00
I dunno what happens now. Goods opened and everything?!?!?!?
Me too - it's all very bizarre, isn't it? I'm just going to sit tight until they send me an email or a letter which actually says something clearly....0 -
Can I ask what everyone who has received their items is doing about this?
At the moment I'm just waiting.
I'm not doing anything
I got the goods, have used them, and deleted their e-mail.
If their system doesn't work the way it is meant to, that is their problem.Owned by a Great Dane :heartsmil

Exact same thing I was thinking, companies fault for letting loose of the goods in the first place if they realised we underpaid due to a glitch, it was too late to do anything about it.
Goods paid for, company checks whether payment recieved (should have realised the discount here but no free gift), ships the item off to us and we're a happy customer.
End of!0 -
just got this,. made me laugh anyway........
Thank you for your email.
We are aware of the circumstances that these orders have been processed and feel that we are well within our rights to either stop the transaction should we feel that it does not confirm to either the voucher usage terms and conditions or our main terms and conditions of sale. The latter you do have to check a box prior to the order being confirmed and therefore agree to.
Within our terms and conditions we state:
3.5 Maplin reserves the right to decline to trade with any person or organisation. In addition, and notwithstanding any other provisions of these conditions of sale, Maplin may decline to accept any order. In the event that Maplin declines to accept an order in respect of which payment has been received, the full amount of such payment will be refunded.
Therefore we understand that the goods have been shipped and therefore would appreciate you contacting us in an effort to advise whether you wish to forward the outstanding £14.99 payment or provide card details, we can then look to complete the sending of the freegift, or alternatively you can return the item in question and we can arrange for a refund of the price paid.
Please do accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused and would be grateful if you can advise how you wish us to proceed with one of the options listed above.
Any further queries don't hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards

basically said that on the night of placing the order i was sent a email with two options and i replied cancelling the items and they then didnt pay any attention to what i wanted as a customer and still shipped the goods, asked for them to send a prepaid envelope to me to cover the return of the goods..Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
Is this actually in English?
"We are aware of the circumstances that these orders have been processed and feel that we are well within our rights to either stop the transaction should we feel that it does not confirm to either the voucher usage terms and conditions or our main terms and conditions of sale. "..well within our rights to either stop the transaction"
or what??????????
There is no "or what"
What happens if we do nothing?
What happens if you had ordered a big roll of cable and had installed it? Pull it our again?
"Oh Yes! I paid an aerial fitter £100 to fit the aerial I bought from you and now I will pay him even more to take it back down again, so that I can send it back" Plereese......0 -
well I emailed them as I received a invoice by post saying I have overpaid!!!!
Again I explained none of the e mails they sent make sense and the fact that the item received (external hard drive) is now in use on my daughters pc and if they want it back they will have to wait until I can get a similar product at the same price.
I then recieved this;Dear CustomerThank you for your email. We are aware of the circumstances that these orders have been processed and feel that we are well within our rights to stop the transaction should we feel that it does not confirm to either the voucher usage terms and conditions or our main terms and conditions of sale.

lol what options ????? they state I can retain the item.
I have now forwarded all the e mails they have sent me with a note stating that they really need to read in full what they send out to customers as the information they contain is confusing and they contradict themselves, in stock, out of stock, order complete, underpaid, over paid what a mess

Maplin may be a bit messed up at the moment. On another forum someone posted that they just got a 3 figure refund cheque from Maplin when they haven't used them for years, had only ever bought small things from them and had never asked for a refund for anything!0

Has anyone else heard anything yet?0
