Likewise, Order arrived today. Confirmation email stated full price with no mention of £14.99 discount. Invoice in parcel states total price (Hexbug habitat & 2 x nanos) at £27.98 i.e. monies taken. NO mention of £14.99 taken off but clearly has been in pricing.

My problem is two fold....2 x nanos still to be received on back order so thus far order incomplete (which keeps me in their loop) AND, I received the email as noted above with either repricing at correct cost or full refund.

Think I will be taking back the habitat I have already received as looks like they are onto me via the latter email this evening and the fact still have stuff on back order.

But checked my junk mail, and it was sitting there.

It's a done deal, they had every opportunity to analyse the payment and whether to process the goods for delivery and they FAILED!

Same as me ninj4z. Was also in my junk email. Strange, as the confirmation emails were sent to my inbox.
What if you weren't to have read it and it was automatically deleted?

Hi just beenreading back through the thread about emails asking for £14.99to be paid or refund or goods.

I ordered on Tuesday, my total order was about £39 after the savings. I have had notification that majority of my order has been despatached but I have an item on back order which is for £14.99.

I haven't received an email from them and I've checked my spam. Do you think that my back order will be cancelled or do you think that because my despatched order has been paid for in full this might slip through? Has anyone else had this happen?

Any help would be appreciated as it is the item on back order that I really want. Feeling quite confused now.

goodness, I had no idea all this would happen. I too have received the emails - 2 to say here is your order, 1 to say discount code discountinued (but completes your order). Now this email asking for money.
I dont know what to do. It was a real mistake but as this site alway so helpful I thought I would share. But now feel bad that this is happening.

Okay now am super confused - post just came with letter from Maplin....
The following item has not been included with this shipment - voucher - amount £0.00.
This dispatch note completes your order.
Shipment total £0.00
Overpaid £xx.xx (my original order amount)

I ordered on Monday and received everything Tuesday before I posted on here.

So email says I owe them money. Letter says I have overpaid by a lot more.

What to do?

I got the same email this morning, my goods arrived yesterday lunch time.

Invoice in box has been ripped in half and I have only got one half of the invoice.

Confirmation email says:

Please note: once an order has been confirmed we cannot make any alterations to the content of the order.

So how would that stand up in court, I placed an order did not want the free gift as it was not in stock, removed the free item, placed order paid they balance they requested. Received goods with half of invoice missing, then receive email stating I have to resubmit the order a pay the correct amount.


I see they have now fixed the problem so surely that proves that they had made an error

How Strange are maplins, my order history shows despatched and we got it yesterday but on on the order history itself it shows a NO next to one the items showing out of stock (but they were delivered) now had a email on that order saying the same as everyone else, not sure if maplins are aware they have despatched it!! lol so i wrote back agreeing to option 1 and they can cancel and refund it, surely they cant be that dumb.....

So you have canceled the order and got a refund ! lol
