So you have canceled the order and got a refund ! lol
well they sent me a email and gave me two options would was requesting a refund the other was ordering again but with the voucher not included. As i say i went with the first option, i cant believe they will be that silly, but you never know...:oListen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
For those that have not received their goods you need to contact them for a refund they are not doing it automatically.AKA: PC

I have emailed them stating that the confirmation email states free item was out of stock, then 2nd e mail says will be delivered shortly, then 3rd e mail states item discontinued & your order is complete I placed the order paid what they requested they confirmed order took they money delivered the order and then sent half a dozen conflicting emails, one email states that they can not change the contents of my order !" same here, weirdest thing, someone at work has just come upto me and given me a the hardrive i ordered!!! even after having the email later that night. So i have had both orders delivered but both now have the emails. cant see what else I can do, on the hardrive when i got the email last night i sent a note back asking for it to be refunded because it stated it hadnt been despatched now it obviosuly was!!! maplins are in a right state.... cant see what they can do, unless perhaps they pay the postage to return the goods. I've opened both orders and the products in them now. My understanding is that once they take the money and ship the goods thats them agreeing to the contract of sale. I've got no problem if they wants the goods back, we all make mistakes and i understand they are just trying to recoup the massive losses they have incurred as a result of the this...Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -

respect your point but don't see how they have incurred massive losses as the free gift actually retails for £14.99, on their site. that is, of course, if it truly worth £14.99. (they should, in theory, still stand to lose £14.99, whether you took the free gift or had a reduction on your order). i say this with tongue in cheek as they are probably not being as altruistic with this free gift (thousands of the useless things produced by some poor chinese slave worker at a cost of 6p a unit, probably)as they would like us to believe. wouldn't want them to go belly up but it really should be a wake up call for some individual or department. their reputation isn't the best as it is, for quality or service. this just adds another dimension to their image; an utter shambles. a simple glitch has caused them caos and they don't have an inkling of how to deal with it efficiently.0 -

I've only just caught up on all this, i recieved my items on wednesday but i usually just delete all my spam as i cannot be bothered sifting through it all...wonder if i've missed an email.
Are people getting emails and letters who have the goods? I haven't opened them as they were for christmas, so may need to go back then??

I received my item on Wednesday. Then the email to my junk folder on Wednesday evening. Then this morning I received a letter - Order Invoice.
"The following items have not been included with this shipment"
DSCVCH
This despatch completes your order
Goods total 0.000
Credit/debit forward 0.00
Monies received 45.00
OVERPAID £ 45.00
I dunno what happens now. Goods opened and everything?!?!?!?0
