Strange bidding situation

I have often wondered, what happens if several people set up snipes for an item for exactly the same maximum amount? Can that happen, and who would win?0

If they are exactly the same amount then the first snipe in would win as the later snipe would not be able to place a bid that exceeded current bid.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Someone was saying 'why do we have so many complaints about ebay on here' and Soolin rightly replied that it's the problems that get posted - people don't post just to say 'yeh it was fine!'.
You have to take peoples reviews of a product with a pinch of salt (in this case ebay). People are always more likely to write if something went wrong. Trip advisor is a great example. You will never find a hotel with 100% glowing reviews as somebody always has a bad time and goes off on a rant.
Ebay feedback does allow you to get a balanced judgement of a seller as I think most people use it correctly and the incentive is to leave feedback for people. Many people are casual sellers as well which helps to educate people how the selling process works.

I quite often post on TripAdvisor and tell it like it was. The things I did not like and the things I did.
I have left several good reviews on Hotels. Praise where praise is due

Judging from the success that some buyers have in winning auctions for considerably less than other winning bidders, for identical items, I'd say evidence suggests there are some common sense lessons to be learned. :think:The "art" of bidding. Do they do an A level?
However, no doubt, others believe they already know it all!"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

What success? What evidence? And don't give me common sense, it's guesswork. The highest bidder wins the auction - every single time. To suggest that buyers come flocking from all corners if you bid early is ludicrous. "Expert buyers" my backside.0 -
I wish you well with your blindfolded bidding and buying. And if ever you see the opportunity for a bidding war, go for it!What success? What evidence? And don't give me common sense, it's guesswork. Tell yourself that it doesn't matter that you've paid £20.05 for a secondhand item from Poundland - the really important thing is that you won!
