  • You mentioned earlier that you have a list of these banks - is Lloyds TSB on the list?

My 8 week deadline is tomorrow 23rd Nov and I'm getting conflicting advice as to whether to go to FOS or not. As far as I understood it I've nothing to lose by going to FOS but some posters on the this site seem to think that as FOS are under siege with PPI misselling claims that going the FOS route might delay things further and I might be better off keeping my complaint within the Bank......any advice on this issue would be appreciated!

YES! but i was told lloyds banking group! rather than on an indivdual basis!

i got a loan(one case) then got some more money (two case) am i right in thinking there should have done this as well as the other?

Look all of you out there arguing and tormenting each other and your own minds.

Go and read the JR application for urgent consideration, if you have the head and patience for it.

Please for those peeps who thinks it is all about pre 2005 sales etc, you are not up to speed to put it mildly.

    snip

Can anyone further clarify the bit in bold - i thought we had established this was one of the main issus? - Go on ankers if your re reading this, give us your opinion please

LOOK FOLKS! i have spoke to the bba press office several times!
yes its several "lets pad it out a bit" issues! but the main 2 points according to them in english are; the retrospective issues and all the cans of worms it opens for many other things not related to ppi!
and the paying back of ppi premiums when the client has actually had a pay out! the rest of it is flannel!

if you want the truth and proper insights into things "thebigdog" is your man! apart from that dont listen to scaremongers and protagonists that prob work for the banks and there henchman on here!

I've got my head in my hands.
  • Been so busy today - I havent had chance to get onto MSE. Pete - thanks for your kind words - most appreciated!
Got a cracker of a case in today from a client I went to see this afternoon regarding Barclays - it's the kind of case that every CMC wants to see because there's so much wrong with it. Got it in the post sharpish - I really want them to put this on hold or ignore it so I can take it to the FOS - they're going to have a field day with it. JR or no JR - they're not going to defend this one - and what makes it worse, is that they stuffed one of their own employees with it. Ladies and gents - they've even done one of their own! I dont want to give too much away, but we have an ICOB sale, advised, to an ex-Barclays employee who had just returned to work for them after 6 months off from a quadruple heart bypass. Their adviser said 'Barclays dont lend on unsecured loans without insurance due to the risk of it being unsecured - you've got to have it'. He forgot to mention the pre-existing condition clause and that the client had full sick pay from Barclays. They've screwed up royal on this and the best news is - THE FOS ARE GOING TO SEE IT!

    LOL!
Lets see them squirm, iv had quite a few ex and current bank staff members on my books too! the common theme is "i took in good faith before i started selling it and now realise its not worth the paper its written on" 1- barclays staff 1, natwest staff and 1, current hsbc staff from potters bar!
