Its fine,we used shredded office papers for our rabbits and they were perfectly healthy, till the neighbours cats got them that is.I would not use the very glossy full colour magazine pages as they have much more ink on them but ordinary letters etc are fine."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0

Thats fine, but try not to use shiny paper and then compost it with the poo from the animals.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

Hi, newspaper ans normal letters are fine, I think the glossy stuff might not be as safe though. years ago all ink used to be toxic but not now. I used shredded newspaper and letters for my ferrets litter tray and I used to use it for my rabbits too and have had no problems. make sure you remove any staples before shredding though!November £10 a day challenge. Im starting early- 66p so far!0

Hi everyone! I have been decluttering the house and have been sorting through the mountain of paper that I have lying aroung the house that I have shredded. I now have ended up with bags and bags of it. Is there anyone out there that knows what to do with them apart from putting them in the compost bin? Is there anywayof recycling it? Any suggestions would be welcome. I do apologise if this thread has been already created...Thank all!!!:pSealed Pot Challenge 2012 #1502:)

You can use it to make papier mache, which can then be used for all sorts of things. Quite fun to do too :T0
