what is the shortest period you've had a job

Half a day at a time share company, calling people who already had a time share to try and sell them another, I had people crying down the phone at me because of all the money they had already lost.
I went out for my lunch and never came back.~*~ If you don't need it, it isn't a bargain ~*~0 -
I feel like a trooper having read all the above, because my shortest job was as a barmaid and I resigned after 5 hours because my feet were KILLING me!0

I worked in 'game' for about a month then packed it in because we were massively understaffed but the manager couldn't be bothered to interview anyone. That combined with having to get there 15 minutes early often leaving up to 30minutes late, getting 30mins for lunch but not getting paid for the other half hour I just !!!!ed it off.
I worked out I was doing up to an hour and a half extra work per day and getting nothing to show for it, wasn't acceptable in a minimum wage job.0 -
I went along for an interview with a mate because she wanted a job in a factory and was too scared to go on her own. I gave a false name, was offered the job but never actually started.

I lasted three or four weeks at mine... it was Office Junior at a florist's and was just weird. I wasn't allowed to answer the phone because I wasn't senior enough (do I look like I can't speak English?). On being offered the job, they said "well you're better qualified than we expect so we'll offer a higher wage" (which I later worked out was less than minimum wage when broken down per hour). And the male manager kept telling me that I could dress up a bit more nicely for work, perhaps wear some lipstick and a shorter skirt...
I went for lunch with some friends at a local pub one lunchtime and couldn't be bothered to go back. Eventually they phoned my mobile to ask where I was - I started spinning some story about an asthma attack and the boss told me not to return. Suited me.

2 days. I was 15 when I got my first ever job paying £2.25 per hour in a clothes shop, and was walked through to the back room where the biggest pile of wire coat hangers in the world seemed to be breeding. I had to bundle them up into packs of 10 with rubber bands and then put them in boxes.
I remember my mum pushing me to go back the next day as "working is one of lifes unfortunate necessities and it cant be that bad" and when she came to pick me up she was showed into the back room where I was sitting grafting after an 8 hour shift again. She grabbed my bags, walked up to the store manager and told her she should be ashamed of herself and we walked out.
I love my mum!Trying to become debt free but this site makes me spend a fortune!!!

About 3 minutes.
Working in a meat factory, applied for a job as a packing operative, turned up, clocked in and was told 'actually, I see you as a slaughterman'. I didn't fancy slitting the throats of pigs that had been stunned with an electric shock, so I walked.

Two weeks, as a retail manager for Martins newsagents when I was about 20. I was a complete and utter idiot. They offered me my own shop less than a mile from where I lived and a decent salary but because I didnt want to work full time I walked after 2 weeks. To be fair I was working two jobs because I didnt want to give up my part time job until I was sure I would be staying and getting up at 5am just didnt suit me. lol. They didnt pay me for it either the barstewards :rotfl::A:A:A:A:A:A0
