Well, one load of washing done & on the line, another in the machine, still have an absolute mountain to wade through but its getting there, not a cloud in the sky here today so hopefully i'll be able to get through a good chunk of it :)
Dishes are also done, and two coats of paint on the walls of the downstairs loo, gotta get another one (maybe two) on before OH gets back from taking his dad to fetch a car.
Need to get something to eat now then get on with it. Aim to have the majority of the cleaning/tidying jobs done by 2pm then I can get on with the organising jobs e.g. budgeting, meal planning etc.

SRM - my thoughts are with you and your friend and all close to her, it must be awful to go through something like that.
Lou - hope you had some success with the docs
Luc - DOUBLE shred??!!! are you crazy lady??
LMC - good luck for your exam nextweek

    Love to all xxxxxxx

    Morning all (just)

SRM - Hugs to you x

    Luc - Double shred!!!

Have just been out for a coffee with a friend, went to order tickets to see Sarah Millican next year and they wanted a 10% booking fee to pay with a debit card!!!! Told them I'll go back with cash - I refuse to pay a ruddy booking fee.

Oh and saw this mentioned on another thread, not sure if they're taking people on at the moment but might be worth a look. £25 of fruit and veg a month isn't to be sniffed at!

So sorry about your BF SRM, dont forget we are here in times of sadness as well as times of joy:grouphug:

Been to the Dr's I can honestly say that my ghast is totally flabbered!

How can your own GP not know that you are being assessed for dementia???? He didnt have a clue (probably something to do with MIL deciding to switch practises in July) but still !!!!!!?

In all fairness he did take this very seriously and gave me some good guidance as to what to do next. He has also sent a letter to her consultant stating how concerned he is not to be kept in the loop.

So I have managed to secure her 2 days a week in the local mental health day centre where she will be assessed on an ongoing basis, that may even start as soon as next week.

Just need to contact Social Services for the other stuff.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
