Anyone heard of Taste radar

I've come across Taste Radar a foreign company who want people to evaluate fruit and veg on a weekly basis. There is no fee but you get receive the money you paid for all fruit and veg evaluated up to £25 a month. They pay into your bank account so I need to check if they are legit.

The domain was only registered a couple of months ago, to an individual.

There are no contact details on the site, except a "contact us" form, usually a bad sign, but not always.

Apparently it was founded in 2007 and has 4 employees.

Many thanks Geordie for the info. I've already sent them 2 weeks of evaluations for this month and they've asked me to send receipts and bank account details so they can reimburse me. As you can imagine I'm not keen on this. Unless I hear of anyone else working with this company without any problems, I might give it a miss.

Hi, I just wondered how you came across this company and how you signed up as a taster? I cannot see a link to join the panel on their web page. It looks like an interesting idea although I would like to ask them a few questions before I decide if I want to join too. Are you tasting food grown in this country or is it imported? Personally I would prefer to taste British food whenever possible. I cannot see the point of importing apples, carrots and potatoes that can be grown perfectly well in this country.

I saw an advert on Craiglist (I think!) and thought I would join. Iim tasting fruit and vegetables from the Supermarket only, it can be grown here or imported. It's easy to do and you get £25 back a month on all fruit and veg sampled.

I agree about British food but I tend to buy whatever cheapest.

Hi, what did you decide on this company? Did you give them details etc to pay you? Wouldn't it be worthwile opening another acct & having the money put in there if you're concerned about them being legit?

I agree give them details to a seperate or empty savings account so you can test it

I asked if they would pay me through Paypal and they agreed. Received my first payment this morning.

How would you have been paid if you hadn't asked for paypal?

They wanted to pay directly into my bank account.

I'm not sure I understand - do you not get paid but are refunded the cost of the fruit you purchase??
