Ok....advice please. Since I got back from HK I reckon I've put on around 4-5lbs....not a huge amount maybe, but I don't want my weight to start going back on as it took so much hard work to lose it.

I know I have been overeating for the past 3 weeks (cheese is the main culprit) so need to go back to meal planning and WW point counting.

My question is regarding exercise...should I start running? I get home around 5ish so could run for 30-45 mins without encroaching too much on my evening. Lots of you on here seem to do something called shred?? Can anyone tell me what this is and whether it's any good for weight-loss; either on its own or with running.

I can't really afford to join a gym again, although I did lose over 2 stone with gym/diet combined last year.

Any advice considered and thanks :)

We had chorizo and mixed bean pasta bake for tea with meringues and ice cream for pud....yum.

I did something utterly reckless last week and took some oil paintings in for reframing - something I've wanted to do for years but could never justify....picked them up today and they're just amazing - quite surprising how a frame can transform a painting. A debt free treat that made me happier than a carrier bag full of clothes could.

Beannie - Hope you can find some relief with your knees x

Hugs to anyone with friends who are having a bad time.. :grouphug:

SRM - I had a friend who died a couple of years ago of cancer who had kids the same ages as mine...it was horrible and the funeral was one of the worst I have been too. You have my sympathies.

Suzy the shred is by the great Jillian Michaels.....I would offer to send you a copy of the shred but I said I would send Luc a copy (but I am carp at it and she is still waiting) but she is good....very very good...

Or you could do the couch to 5k.

I am about to go do more studying again....snore..zzzzz

    Sounds brutal Sammy.

Yeah it's a lot to lose but better than £8k we'd stand to use if we can only raise half the deposit. There's a couple of other properties around - less nice ones, we might persue that.
