Good Morning lovely folks of Daily Chat land, all who follow and welcome any new posters.

Today I am in battle mode re-MIL as she has a Dr's appointment at 9.20am. I am NOT leaving the room until some sort of help is confirmed.

Wish me luck!

I have also been reading a book called "The Money Magnet" some of it is totally crazy speak but some of it does ring true, in particular the fact of us self limiting ourselves as most of us believe in some way or other that we are just not good enough to be really wealthy.

Do you know what? Yes we are! I am going to create a vision board of all the things I will have and look at it every day. (apparantly the money will just come flooding in if I do that):rotfl:........sorry, must take this serious otherwise it wont work:o
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

  • Well,

I am new around this parts, first posted yesterday and already today I have woken up feeling a bit brighter about the future.

I must go and get ready for work in a minute - gosh I hate mondays!

My plan for today is not to spend one single penny and come home for lunch. Other than that I will be taking small steps at a time.

    Have a great day.

    Morning all.

    Welcome Phoenix.

I have a trying week ahead. No Hubbles again so no gym so need to work at keeping energy levels up.

Now that I have my very own copy I am going to double Shred every day this week and use the fact that Al isn't around to really strip back the food intake - lots of salads and fruit and no extras.

    Morning everyone
Welcome to the daily chat Phoenix :)
Still on holiday from work today so I'm determined to have a productive day.
The house WILL be clean, tidy and organised by the end of today, making it much easier to keep it that way :)
First on the agenda is to sort a load of washing and do the few dishes left from yesterday.
Lou- hope all goes well for your mil, stand your ground, dementia is a terrible thing to watch, my Grandma thought she was back in her parents house and that my Grandad was the lodger and wasnt paying her his rent!!
Claire - dont overdo it, and I hope the funeral goes as well as such things can.
    Love to all xxxxxxx
  • Morning everyone.

Louise, I hope everything goes ok with the DR.

Claire, please slow down, I don't want you doing yourself a mischief.

Luc, enjoy the shred and good luck wiht the healthy eating.

Pheonix, welcome to the dc chat, we;re a friendly bunch.

I'm ok, I've got brain ache from too much revision on Saturday and spent the majority of yesterday asleep!

My OH is seriously thinking about taking his old job back next year as he's missing the money and also he wants a house etc. I've said ok as long as he doesn't put me through the same stuff as last time.

    Lots of love,

    Hi all

Lou, hope it goes ok at docs. Your vision board sounds interesting.
    Phoenix, glad you're feeling better.
    Claire, don't wear yourself out!
Bookie, hope it goes well with your dad too.
Luc, double shred  good luck!
Lizzie, hope you do have a nice productive day.
    LMC, when's the exam?

I had quite a good weekend - got loads of house and garden stuff done on Saturday and a nice walk yesterday morning. Could feel a cold coming on as we were walking though and spent most of the afternoon curled up on the sofa. Not a good sleep last night and feeling tired and grumpy this morning.

Have moved to my new desk at work now, it's an OK place in the office but taking a bit of getting used to. I've also noticed how little personal stuff I have at work - only a plant!

Red, it's a week today in the afternoon. I'll be glad when it's over as I'll have my life back for four months and will be able to read what I want to read and not boring text books!
