Can I just ask - do you have to sign for them when they are delivered? I was out this afternoon and a parcel came, but was taken back to the warehouse as it needed signing for. Just wondering if it was the headphones.

Mine were left at the rear of the house - so no siggy was required, although I suppose it depends on the individual postie whether they can be bothered to take it back to the sorting office.
  • I placed an order early on the morning of the 17th by the link - there was only one option - 3 issues for £1 - was there an option for the free heaphones in the order page for anyone else?

I have tried ringing their customer services and sending emails to see if I was in time to get the headphones but I have had no luck with the customer services operator (your details aren't on the system yet- please ring back in 3 days) or by email.

The link still shows the free headphones as a limited time offer - but the order form is very generic and doesn't mention them :(
  • I rang up and they said my details werent there either!.
I dont know if I'm going to be getting them or not :(
even tho I applied on the 10th, this will be really dissapointing if I dont.

can someone who'v got there headphones or someone who had ordered pretty early phone them and ask to confirm the details or something, I just want to find out if its just me with the details missing.

  • just phone again and turns out the guy entered my postcode wrong!, all the other details were correct.
I hope the headphones havent been already sent to the wrong address :(.
  • Just had an e-mail from them.
Anyone who ordered after 15/02 is out of luck.I ordered on the 16th.Doh!!
  • That's Odd- I sent them screenshots of the link I used on the morning of the 17th that said 'free headphones' and got this mail back. They have now changed the link to say the headphones offer ende on the 16th.

    Dear Mrs Wright,

    Subscription Account Number-
    Thank you for your email.

I am afraid that the offer with the Headphones closed on the 16/2/05, so I am afraid that you are not eligible for this gift.

    Our apologies.

    Regards

  • I subscribed online on 16 Feb and received an order confirmation on the same day. When I emailed them to enquire the headphone, they replied:

Unfortunately as you subscribed via the website this does not entitle you to a free gift. As you subscribed via the web you have been set up at a discounted price of £1.00 instead of the normal rate.

Then I emailed them again telling them that I printed the web page, which clearly lists the free headphone, as well as 3 issues for £1. Here's their reply:

Please accept our apologies, the reasons for your non-entitlement to this gift given in the previous email were incorrect. You were right in saying that web subscribers are indeed entitled to the headphones, however this offer expired on the 16th February. As your order was not processed until the 17th, you have been set up under the replacement offer of 3 issues for £1 instead.

I feel I am fooled. Is there any way I can claim the headphone? Thanks
