What happens if you are NOT in? Will they leave things by front doors etc?

If you don't think you are going to be in, you can leave a note somewhere giving permission for the driver to leave the items somewhere ie around the back of the house etc.

You do have to ring TNT and they will contact the driver to say you will be doing this and where the note will be left for him to collect.

I did this once as I had to go on the school run and he arrived when I was out.

I put the note under a plant pot, told the TNT depot where it was, came home to find the note gone so knew I had parcels waiting for me.

    ;)

I have just had my delivery and my OH has nearly had a heart attack at how much arrived! the poor delivery driver was glad of some hands to help take the boxes out of the van PMSl!!! Everything was well packaged and present. i will definatly be using them again if i can find some attic/cupboard/garage space :D

  • when did you place your order, as i havent heard anything about my delivery, except the confirmation of the order...

I know they are extremely busy, but an email to let people know would help.

not all of us follow them on facebook etc...

and i am just hearing things via forums etc.... not good

When you get a dispatch e-mail it tells you that TNT try to attempt delivery 3 times. I guess they would leave a card (one hopes!) so you can telephone them for redelivery.

My delivery arrived today. Driver wasn't happy lugging up 3 boxes in one go up two flights of stairs. He could have brought them up one at a time as he was complaining about his back! Why do these drivers take on these courier jobs if they know they will be lifting and carrying? They always seem to complain!
  • yipee, our order arrived today. We got some items doubled up but not everything. Wont be complaining though as we feel we got a great bargain box full (4 boxes actually). We wont be buying mushy peas or baked beans for at least a year!!

I placed my order on the 4th and haven't had a despatch email yet so I rang them today.

The person I spoke to said they had been snowed under with orders and I would get an email when the order is despatched.

still waiting on my despatch note, my last (and first) order was confirmed with depatch note straight away, not too impressed this time
  • I did my order at 2.13pm on wed 3rd and just got my dispatch note at 9.30 this morning! Shame as DD was in all day yesterday! no one in tomorrow! But will be able to pop home at lunchtime, will have to leave a note on the door. They did email me back within 2 hours yesterday when I contacted them, so a pat on the back for their staff I think as they can only work so quickly after all!!
