02 Cut data Allowence on iphone 3g

Hi I got an Iphone 3g back in March roughly around that time, and was told it was unlimited Data, & Wifi, Unlimited txts and 600 mins.
But I had a txt today saying that from tomorrow I am limited to 500mb data, are they allowed to do that when I signed the contract for 24 months for the unlimited data and wifi....

I am just looking for advice at the moment as I am planning to try and get to the 02 shop sometime this week, if they refuse to do anything am I in my right to cancel???? I hardly use the 500mb but sometimes I have done and yeah i could be careful but the point is i signed a contract for unlimited before they brought this cap in at the beginning of June.

I got a Iphone 3gs in April and they have not sent me a text cutting my data its still unlimited.

Oh right i got my txt around 3pm this afternoon and my dad got one aswell and I have checked what i signed just to make sure and it does say unlimited, i went online and spoke to there help who i must say wasnt any help they just told me if i wanted it unlimited they would do that for £5 a month more....

As far as i am aware, they are not aloud to do this as a contract must be honored by both parties. If they start changing the agreements then you can just refuse to pay as they have broken the contract thus you can

Oh, i have a unlimited data and they have not sent me a text thus i think you may have used lots and lots which is costing them too much?

By unlimited do they mean unlimited or not unlimited but capped at whatever their current fair usage states but we will call it unlimited anyway .

I agree think she may be using too much because my data is still unlimited and got my iphone after her.

And it is capped at around 9gb, so couldnt be anything to do with the cap

Just checked what i have used and it is under 200mb for the whole month, this month anyway is there a way to check what i have used in pervious months?

My dad uses his iphone more then me so he has used more data then me, he has had the txt aswell which might be if he is using it to much.

log into my 02 account and shows my data as unlimited

I use way more data than you, i use it for everything inc downloading apps because i am hardly at home, i must use over 1gb on a quiet month.
