Hello again guys...didnt get around to doing the cheese n onion bread....in fact my rapid loaf is still in there now,had a bit of a go slow day today:o
I have a question tho...I mentioned before about the numbers 1 2 3 and Swan very kindly investigated(to the extent she phoned kenwood)apparantly they indicate which of the 3 rises the bread is on,therefore will not be illuminated all the time...but mine never illuminate...all 3 numbers are equaly visible, but none highlighted...next time anyone is using their BM,could they check and see if 1 2 or 3 ever light up on their own...thanks.
oh, that's weird ... the mystery deepens :D

I'll have a look too, but it'll be Saturday before I'm using my machine again

I can't say I've ever noticed mine light up, even when the little rising symbol was lit, but then I wasn't looking for it

I have never noticed the numbers, so I will have to look later! I couldn't even picture the 123 in my head:doh:

I had never noticed until you said, but yes, the 123 is there......and completely redundant froom the looks of it............why? It does not light up or even highlight at any time.

Oh no, MummyOfTwo, that's quite normal:)

The gingerbread - I made some last week, and invented what we all thought was a gorgeous pudding when we had friends to dinner on Saturday.
I put a base of gingerbread slices in a dish, added some spiced cooking apple (cooked), warmed it up, then poured over sticky toffee sauce and served it with whipped cream:)
  • does anyone else think that programme 2 for rapid loaf makes a nicer loaf than the basic on programme 1?...i find programme 1 produces a drier loaf with a bumpy "rustic" top...but programme 2 looks like bread from an oven, perfectly smooth and rounded on top,and with an extra soft, kind of chewy texture...love it,in fact i ended up making 2 of these today instead of the cheese n onion. :)
