Probably too busy gazing at your navel. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • I know this sounds really silly, but how do you store cut lemons? I had one in the fridge for a few days and it has already gone moldy! Would it be better to squeeze the juice out and store it? As I want it to last a week or more.

    Thanks :T

    Hi June,

I keep them in the fridge for a day or two and if I'm not going to use them I just slice and freeze. If I have a lot I'll squeeze the juice and freeze in an ice cube tray for using later.

    This thread has more ideas:

    Freezing Lemons

I'll add your thread to it later to keep the ideas together.

This thread may help too as it has lots of ideas for using lemons:

  • Like the others we slice them and freeze them so you can stick one in your g&t when needed, you get your lemony hit without diluting the booze with ice. Also works for limes etc.

  • Thank you everyone for your replies and advice. I use the lemons for hot drinks and was not sure if freezing lemon slices would work, but on the thread from Pink-winged people say it works well, so I will try freezing some slices.

    Thanks for the help :T
  • Keep them in fizzy water, we used to do that when I worked in pubs
  • Today I bought loads of lemons at a throwaway price - 10p for a bag of 6 good sized ones. Can I freeze them? Do I slice them before freezing? Any other way of preserving them? TIA for your kind replies.
