hi i have been feeling run down lately so bought a bag of lemons to slice and drink in hot water every morning.
my hands get sore and the juice irritates them,so can i slice them all in one go and freeze the slices ready to use one at a time?
if yes,do i need to defrost them or just pour the boiling water straight on the frozen slice?
hope you can help,
louise

I've got a huge bag of sliced lemons in the freezer. The slices work just fine in both hot and cold drinks and last for ages. I don't bother defrosting - I just chuck them straight in whatever I'm drinking (although bear in mind that this will cool the hot warter slightly).0

Such a good idea, I've got some surplus lemons from Christmas. I'd actually favour the freeze and pour hot boiling water action myself.
I have lemon juice with hot water most mornings as my first drink of the day ..but I cheat and use Jif lemon juice ....

Been doing this for years and find if I use a frozen slice in hot water it brings temperature down to just right for drinking! Do test this yourself though as I wouldn't want you to scald your tongue! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

I've mentioned before the Health Benefits of Green tea the latest research confirms early reports of it's role in cancer prevention. The results of this meta-analysis indicate a lower risk for breast cancer with green tea consumption. is a typical conclusion.
The point of mentioning it here is that I've just discovered Green Tea tastes much nicer with a slice of lemon in it. I've only just this week sussed out that pre-slicing lemons so they are ready for cuppa rather than having to slice freshly each time saves a lot of faffing about. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

I have not actually frozen whole lemons, but have squeezed out the juice, and frozen that in ice cube trays. I also removed the zest and froze that, but have not used it yet.0
