I don`t know what I have stashed away for Christmas, all those cheap bargains but where did I hide them? Oh well that is tomorrow sorted then and I am going to find them and sort them into boxes and then do a list for each person/couple. We all limit spends here and I still have to do the homemade stuff but it is a challenge when both dd`s are good cooks and dd in law was a chef. Last year they all had knitted socks but my get up and go has gone re knitting. Maybe I`ll make little bags for the hops and lavender that I have and then they`ll all have the good sleep that they`ll probably need. Talking of sleep, I wish I could sleep through the whole night again. 3am, 5am and if it is past 5.30 then I get up. The nights are long sometimes
If any of you have access to costco, today we bought some grippy things for underneath shoes in the snow. They are near the ladies undies and bags and I also killed two birds with one stone and bought a readybed for dgd for christmas and as she is only 2, bedding might have been a problem as they are staying here for a few nights at christmas. They are about half price to any I could find on the internet
OOh I know what I will make. Chocolate plums0 -
We will also be using the same fake Christmas tree as last year (and the year before that). We couldn't get the cat out of it last Christmas apart from meal times, so I don't see the point of replacing it for a new one to take a similar battering. Besides, we now have two cats..... We took it down on Boxing Day because my 5 year old son was fed up of listening to the noise made by the cat chewing the tinsel.

For anyone wanting bread flour L!dl had theirs today at 60p witha big British flag on and sr and plain was 42 with big british flags on.
When in Mr T I looked at theri bread flour and noticed the the british flag was no longer on the packaging; now this might have something to do with the price increases but does not excuse them.
L!dl also had caster sugar 1kg bag 89p whereas it is £1.14 in Mr T & Mr SMy self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).

'Tis a kind heart you have. Pleased to hear the old lady liked her pressies.
Re your Christmas tree decorations - I've had another thought on that = making saltdough Xmas tree decorations. I know they can be baked in a microwave (dont know if you have one?) and I'm pretty certain they can also be baked in an oven - so could be done whilst doing some baking anyway. I'm not a "crafty" sort of person myself - but I expect theres loads of instructions on the Internet for anyone wanting to make any.0 -

Not a very well Sammy Kaye:(:(:(
Went to watch my ben playing football and he plays one end of the pitch but the main pitch had a match on too that I had my back too.
Happily watching Ben and was suddenly knocked unconscious by a goal missing football - I was stood behind the net though and it hit me full force in the back of the head. Seriously it felt like if it had decapitated me it would of hurt less!
Thankfully I was stood on a field though and the floor decided to wake me up. All I can really remember is seeing Owen as he ran over and picked me up. Although kind of thankful it belted me otherwise it would have been Holly getting the ball straight in the face and thank god I wasn't holding her she was in her buggy!
Either way had both coaches run to may aid as well as Owen and the other mums. Just had to sit on the floor to come round. Shamed.
Although - bless his heart - the player who had belted the ball came running over apologising profusely. He was only about 17. So Owen has been monitoring me all afternoon now. Feel fine if not a bit delicate - no sickness/dizziness/vomitting etc jst feel a bit delicate and was shaking afterwards but think that was more shock.
So am off now to chill out in front of TV and watch 'the mummy' with sweeties with Benjie and Holly wriggling on floor - sent Owen to his mothers to help his dad - its sweet hes so concerned but hes getting on my wick as if Im about to die any second!
Either way - will be back on tomorrow when head doesn't feel so delicate!
Oh adn Ben scored two goals and his team won 11 -4. They haven'tlost a match yet! :j
Sammy , pleased to hear you are not seriously hurt.
Where my DS1 referees and DS2 plays no-one is allowed to stand behind the goals for this very reason, all spectators and coaches have to be on the side lines, and at least 3 feet from the side line under the new FA rulings.
Again glad your not too badly hurt and congrats to BenMy self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).

We have a similar photo but it has 3 fat cats in, our tree has spaces where they like to lie down! The tree we found in the loft here 4 years ago is pretty strong as it hasnt yet snapped, our other one only lasted 3 years.
The cats have learnt not to get in the tree when were in the room - the moment we leave you hear them and the poor tree taking a beating:rotfl:Mum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Ceridwen, we have still got saltdough decorations I made with the children when they were small - we used C'mas biscuit cutters - hearts, trees, stars etc and then we painted and varnished them - they also gave one each to grandparents, aunties etc. We don't really do presents for grown ups anymore but I do still like to make tree decorations as token presents.Jan 2011 GC £300/£150.79 (2 adults, 2 teens, working dog, includes food/cleaning/toiletries)0
