My 76 year old, 4 foot 10 in her stocking feet mum has just been on the phone. She has been giving the manager of Mr T's a right earbending about the increase in the price of flour. Poor chap.

Thanks rosie, fab site! I will definately order from them, but the borax won`t be any use to me sadly :(
I use borax as a dry preservative in my taxidermy work, but it`s the ingredient in the original borax, the one that has been taken out now, that works. I`m finding it almost impossible to get original borax now. :(

I purchased a big tub of the original stuff from ebay earlier this year, you might try there.

What's the next stage after you tighten your purse till it squeaks? :D

I guess you arrive at the stage where you buy necessities only - use half as much as usual but make it last twice as long

Along with all my OS and MSE strategies, I am aiming to reduce my rubbish to save a bit more cash - it grieves me to think that I have paid my hard earned cash for all the packaging that fills the bin up!

I went to the new Waitrose today as I was dropping my husband off at a friend's house (he was helping do some DIY) and it's a new shop there. I thought I might as well have a nosey and pick up some milk and was impressed by the reductions on some things.
    .

I love waitrose for reductions. Only had one local since easter. The other day I picked up organic royal gala 29p a bag.

Duchy milk skimmed 4pts for 39p.

Best bargain so far was packets of bacon reduced to 35p normal selling price £3.99

That is how I can afford to shop in there. Also husband loves there jelly babies 99p a packet. Even I like them.

    Yours

    Calley

    Happy Birthday xx:j

They certainly dont rush if it could take up to 9 months!

About to do the months on line shop to be delivered next weekend, it will take me most of the week as I want to find as many bargains and offers as possible.

Boys been invited to a birthday party next sunday - I text and asked for any birthday ideas and they text "just put cash in the card" - am gonna have to text again or just buy gift as the place is far away of the bus routes so will have to cab there. My own fault for asking
