Well where we live, there is lots of places to walk your dog and we have seen those bags tied onto trees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What on earth is that about? Then are people who tie the dog poo and leave it sitting there on the grass/ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then one day earlier in the year we were coming back home and someone had left a big bag of dog poo tied in a knot at top of the bag and placed next to our fence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dirty habits for sure Yuk It makes us so cross
What it's all about is that people want to be seen doing the right thing, i.e. pick it up, but only because of other people's possible reactions to them not picking it up, not because it is the socially responsible thing to do - so they carry the bag publicly, pick up the poo publicly, but have no qualms about dumping the bag when no-one else is looking!0 -
Gailey how do you do all that baking with 2 kids around? Or do I just have high maintenance boys?!
Tomorrow I want to do basic shortbread and either twinks, gold digger bic (from cbeebies I can cook) or flapjack. Along with all the ironong I've got Im not sure I will achieve this.
Its so cold here, Mum admitted before that she didnt meet up with us today as it was too cold for her and the had alot of hail yesterday that turned to ice - I just thought she didnt want to come to the soft play. We live 6 or 7 miles apart yet we had no hail or snowMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Hi all quick update..sam is still in hospital and they have had to increase his oxygen intake through a tube up his nose..they are very concerned as he doesn't want to eat or drink...my daughter is absolutely distraught...she said he is just laid there not moving..she hasn't slept and her partner is not allowed to stay any longer than normal hours so she is on her own...i feel for her i really do..the doctor told her in no uncertain terms this afternoon that if he had been treated on wednesday then this wouldn't have happened..so i don't really need to say anything to her...he did it for me..thank you god...my grand-daughter has just gone home with her daddy and is asking for her mummy and baby brother..he has told his stepmum to keep her mouth shut and stop forcing her opinions on everyone..wish i had seen that...so keeping my fingers crossed for my little chap...
Thanks to all that wished fern a happy birthday..she has had a great day and got totally spoilt..
Happy birthday to lindy loo...hope you had a great day too...

Flowertotmum- sounds like he has had a very nasty dose of it, and your daughter a scare, I know whenever i am in hospital with mine food and drink get forgotten and I end up very run down, so maybe if you can remind her partner to take her some stuff in that will help keep her spirits up. Good that you were able to have his sister for the party today that will definitely have helped distract her. Sending prayers your way for a speedy recovery
And missed saying earlier big happy birthday to LIndy Loo. Hope you had a good day.
Freezing cold here but still no snow, kids are miffed that we have the inconvenience of the cold but no pleasure (ie snow!!) cant say I am much bothered having sat up again all night, DD4 seems to have stopped being sick for now and am praying none of the others catch it, got way too much to do this week to have any more sleepless nights!!0 -

Managed to pick up some 20p milk cartons the petrol station was selling off so they are in the freezer, don't feel I was 'panic buying' as they'll be binned tonight if not sold. Going to go meal plan now to try to stretch what we have for a bit longer. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
I have finally managed to catch up properly with this thread:beer: congratulations to all those expecting little bundles and hugs to those who need it - flowertotmum I missed what happened to baby Sam but it sounds awful, major hugs for you xxx
we havent had any snow here yet - we are meant to be having a couple of nights away next week, was my 30th birthday present and I am going to be so upset if we can't go and lose the money. My birthday was months ago but various family in hospital/ill, lack of funds and us sadly going through a mc meant I hadn't got anything yet.
Find myself fighting a battle with OH to not have the heating on full blast. Have bundled his side of the bed with a whole pile of blankets and throws, he's much more sensitive to the cold than me poor love!!
I didnt food shop in November as I managed to make Octobers last through (obv topped up with dairy, bread etc) and I did Decembers online shop today. The same basket as 7th Oct came back more than £40 more... I've tweaked it to the special offers etc but it was so hard to get it down to a similar level  something I noticed has really gone up is shampoo/conditioner... I need heavy duty stuff as my hair has it's own mind - anyone know any good cheap frizz-busting ones?MFW 2015 so far..... £1808.702014 - £1451 2013 - £1600 2012 - £4145 2011 - £5715 2010 - £3258:)
Big new mortgage from 2017
