Pitlanepiglet - no job is worth sacrificing your health and sanity for. Hope your decision is giving you some relief from stress and that perhaps by the time you've worked your notice out, something else will be available for your.
  • Did a collection for a colleagues 50th and its gone missing! There was a lot of money in it as well. We are spread across 2 floors so difficult to keep a close eye on it. Disgusted isnt the word!
I have every possession I want. I have a lot of friends who have a lot more possessions. But in some cases I feel the possessions possess them, rather than the other way round

OH works away from home in the week - last mobile bill showed a lot of late night texts to someone - googled teh number and found a woman's name - never heard of her before. Last night at 11.30 he sent a text sayiing 'sexy' to her. Says they've only been flirtng but he had an affair when I was pg with DD (almost 13) and last April (at 37 weeks pg with DS3) I gfound he had been seeing people off ointernet sites :(:(:(

starsandmoon - How low can people stoop to steal an office collection! But things like this do happen, especially in difficult economic times when money is tight and they just can't resist the temption to steal something. I'm afraid the only thing to do in such cases is either stand and hover while people add their contribution (which can be embarrassing if some people can't afford to contribute much) or remove most of the money while the envelope goes on its circulation.
When I worked in an office I noticed that the another thing which would frequently go missing was spectacles, especially if they were left lying on desks and had designer frames. People would just steal them for the frames and then go to their own optician to have their specific prescriptions added to save the cost of the frames.

HUge hugs Greent - no idea what to say other than we are all here if you need to talk. My only advice would be to know what it is you want - it makes any converstaions so much easier if you are sure.

We have more money coming in the house now than we have for several years but we are still cash poor.Part of it is repaying a loan from when one of OH's client bu66ered off with thousands of pounds which was meant to pay for the job OH had done for him, and feed us, but that still doesn't account for it. Despite watching all DDebs and the grocery budget we still struggle. I am flummoxed, and really am starting to worry that I am missing something obvious. The cost of living has increased dramatically for us.

We were only saying the same the other night, (not about client obviously).

When we moved here Dh got a job on min wage and we would have loved a bit more now he is on double that and I work p/t and we still never have any extra unless he does overtime.
    My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
    So we’re empty nesters.
    Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman

Greent I'm so sorry. It can't help with him working away during the week, not that that is any excuse whatsoever. I know from some of your other posts he has anger management issues and has agreed to counselling - maybe as a minimum you should demand that the scope of that counselling is widened. You deserve to be treated with respect, not disloyalty and undeserved anger
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

Piglet - know exactly how you feel. I know the relief in resigning from a job that is destroying you. Best wishes.
