The total cost of the bank bailout was 1/4 of GBP - £389bn

And they're still getting massive bonuses.

I wonder how many times I'll use the  icon before the day is over? :D

That is the whole point. This government (whoever they were of the 3 parties) were always going to have to put right the over spending of the previous one. Those of us old enough will remember the 70's when it all happened before. The spending has got to stop. Let's just say its the country's light bulb moment! :D

Anyone who announces to the world they are going to sell off all our gold and therefore sends the price plummeting is a muppet in my opinion.

That said, I am stocking up on flour, wood, coal and trying to be as self sufficient as possible. We have had it too good for too long as a nation and are now paying the price.

Phew, CB is NOT going to be axed for over 16s in full-time education. That's a weight off my mind.

I'm not convinced bus passes should be a universal benefit. My mum doesn't need one. My m-i-l will claim hers but has a motability car and blue badge - she wants the bus pass for when she visits her other children so she can go around London for nowt

And is Osborne's nervous throat clearing annoying anyone else, or just me.....
