Well I just worked out how to share a link to your website on facebook :j

    I updated my status to:

Do you want to learn how to learn and remember it ... a fun mind map workshop could just what you need. Coming to a town near you! ... brilliant for anyone over 10 years old

[If you have a web angel, it would be good to put links on the website to a twitter and facebook. blog and youtube when you have time to get them sorted ;). While I don't know how to do it, some of my friends have twitter accounts that update their facebook status. You may be able to do something similar with blog entries, therefore reducing the entries you need to physically post. I have PM'd you a blog link so you can see more what I an wittering on about ]

Loving the website - fingers are crossed for you and I'm sending lots of positivity your way. Whilst I know its a different author etc but it was a One Minute Manager book that gave me some of my confidence to go for the job.

    Enjoy your family/me time :)

To update facebook from my twitter account I use the facebook app Selective Tweets - this then means that when I want my twitter post to be on facebook as well I just end it with a #fb and bobs your uncle.

Althougth like NorthernLas says there is probably an app to do all three and I think twitterfeed is one example.

Good luck - I'm sure the places will all be filled quickly.

Must shut down work. My boss is annoying me... think I'll finish the rest of it offline :D

I'm writing presentations... and it occurred to me that someone on here might be able to help and advise. I've been in my job for a year, so this is my first conference season in my current role. Although I've presented before, it's been very different - and at large events I've been a guest speaker rather than a resident expert. Mostly I've presented to small groups and done workshops, where I've been able to be flexible about using the slideware and on the timing.

The subject matter is somewhat dry (although I'm passionate about it -it's a mixture of law, technology and finance :o), the prescriptive format of the presentations is very constraining. I really need to make a big impression this year, so any tips (or suggestions for coaching) on how to impress the audience would be appreciated. Of course, I've left it late... I'm travelling next week and the one after, then have a week back in the UK before two consecutive weeks of conferences...

Have pm'd you MG, I really want to help but have been struggling with how hoW hOW HOW. Was'nt sure about putting the info on the forum so if it helps just say the word and connections will be made (it may not work, but nothing ventured then nothing gained).

Passion, I believe is the key. The subject matter can be as boring as hell, but if the person presenting has passion it draws me in like a moth to a flame, no matter what the subject matter. People think with their emotions, subjectively rather than objectively ( for a beginning anyway it gets people listening).
After that its upto you to keep them engaged.
Volume, tone. pitch, & pace. Colour what you are projecting with tone variance, emphasise syllables and don't shorten them. and so on and so forth.
    Sorry just my opinion . . . . . . .:D
  • MG - absolutely amazing post MG, amazing.... I felt every single word of that post, you've reduced me to a quivering heap.

In a past life I too have gone cold, hungry and done without to ensure my kids did not, I wish you every success in the world, you deserve it.

Right - am off to look at your website :j:j:j

  • Guys just a couple of things...

I can't find MG's homepage - I'm putting it down to the Friday feeling! Can anyone give me directions?

Karmacat - I try to buy green products but trying to find out which products actually make a difference seems really difficult to find, if I had this information I might be less price sensitive. I think its the same with organic food.
