You have got no idea of how looking at your kids has cheered me up.

I'm impressed she has 'borrowed' a warehouse!

  • Memory Girl, sorry about the stuff with bank -maybe time to shift my account! Am sure you will get things sorted - you have so many people on your side..

Glad KitsforKids is going full guns blazing!
I am in Birmingham - and am happy to and pick up from here if needed - I'm not too far from NEC if that helps.

I'm running the risk of becoming a bit 'Bah humbug' about Christmas, as I also stopped sending cards to people I see every day. It's silly! Then they send you one back! I like Christmas though...

I send an e-card or just an email with a sprig of something green to my contacts throughout the year. I've never bought in to this "I got 127 cards so na na nee na nah!" thing. Mainly because I never got many!

I know the Post Office would get all upset if we all stopped sending cards, and it's OK to send one to the odd wizened aunt who's of a generation that viewed things differently etc., but it's only a matter of weeks now before people realise the cost this year for postage and cards. When some of us (ahem) can't afford food and gas and electric, Christmas cards are pretty low on the pyramid of needs.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all the greetings of the season.

I suppose it is time for an update from me. I have been having a problem with the 250 people list - which is quite simple, really; I have to start doing it. What stops me you might ask? I suppose this is one of my biggest fears - that my list will end with about ten people. I was, after all, the person who last Christmas received three cards at work - two from colleagues from other departments and one from mine. Not a popularity contest Queen eh? But then again, I have not sent Christmas cards for a long time - I send an e-mail and always give the money to the Du Paul Trust (they get young people off the streets).

I am going to do it though - because I have just looked at all the thanks I have had on this site and rememberd that I am a part of you lot. So I can't end up with only ten people, could I?

Also today I gave an absolutely killer lecture in epistemology to 60 PhD students. It is hard, it is heavy and it is next to impossible to make it entertaining without !!!!!!!ising the concept. Guess what? I did it! The Doctoral students reacted to every small nuance I introduced - they laughed, they listened, they reflected, they asked questions. And at the end a fair number of them came to say thank you and how much they are looking forward to next time. There is nothing I enjoy more - this is my way to touch the future.

And I really like today's challenge - will have to consider carefully what is the one thing that if I stop doing I could get much further.

Oh, and tomorrow I'll be so much wiser - it is my birthday.

Sorry about that guys - just ended up with 2 coaching calls back-to-back (someones scheduling has gone awry)

First the good news - look at the signature....... WE ARE OVER A HUNDRED :j:j:j

Mr Big was talking to me today about shifting my focus, taking the helicopter view - moving myself from the state a paralysis of yesterday.

We had this great conversation about Matrix's. How that Matrix's have nodes - the points where lines connect and cross, the points at which all information is collected and distributed from.

He was trying to get me to the point where I begin to think of myself as one of many nodes within our matrix and to begin to appreciate the potential power that we can all tap into.

That bit I am beginning to get - the rest of it was one of those pat your head, rub your tummy kind of conversations:rotfl::rotfl:.

So - first he makes me state my "problem" of yesterday in plain facts. None of the whinging "its unfair" or "they won't help" or "why are they picking on me" stuff.

The Bank won't reduce my monthly repayment of the personal guarantee, I can't pay what they want whilst I'm on benefits, they will start repossession proceedings the first time there is insufficient funds in my account.

    PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Q So what does that really mean?
    A I am short £330 per month
Q Only if you stay on benefits?
    A Yes
Q You are off benefits on Monday?
    A Yes
Q So you are working for your boys from Monday?
    A Yes
Q So how many people do you need to train to pay off the Bank?
    A Erm!!!
Q Have you got a calculator?
    A Yes
Q Sigh!!! Can you work it out?
    A Laugh!!! Yes
Q Can you work it out this year?
    A Yes - 44
Q Ok - So is it possible that you could train 44 people in the next year?
    A Yes
Q In the next 6 months
    A Yes
Q In the next 30 days
    A Yes
Q Could you train 44 people tomorrow if you had to?
    A Of course I could

AHA!!!! so your real problem is not the Bank - because you can't do anything about them. Your real problem is that you need to find 44 people to train - and fast - then the bank can kiss your a*s.

:T:T:T Brilliant Mr Big - especially the bit about the kiss.

This man drives me nuts, drives me to distraction, occasionally drives me to drink - but drive me on he does:T.

So reaching out to the Matrix - and hoping that this isn't too big an ask when we are so busy collecting Kits for Kids.

On Saturday 13th of November I want to run a Student Survival Guide training day in (where's the centre of the county - OK, LEEDS)

So the question is "who do you know who would like to come and play?"

If I come up with an information flyer by the end of the week can you guys tap into your networks and help me find 44 people for the event - I will use the event to model the "World Tour", get some video for the website, reveal the new me (If Souk can work her magic in time) and make sure we can kiss the bank bye-bye so that we can go back to focussing on the tops for the kids for Christmas.

Also hoping that we could have a little matrix meet-up on the friday or saturday night too??

I'm hoping its not too big an ask.

Sorry - it is about the way we know that we know what we know. Lord, I am not making it better - probably Google is the way forward after all. Very useful subject though.

No solution - no problem, remember. I love Mr. Big - and sorry, could not resist.

As to the training - you can certainly train 44 people in the next month or so. Will start thinking.
