Isd this the word that has its origin with my compatriots the Bulgarians (or Bulgars, as they were known at the time)? The heretics that were send West in the 10th century? If yes I have figured it out - and if you don't know the story just let me know and I'll tell it.

Hello all, haven't been around much recently due to one thing and another but have pretty well caught up - I think!
It is very exciting to see how the Kits for Kids is moving. I will direct people to the facebook page - just wish I understood it myself.
Is November 25th the last day for us to collect shirts? When do they have to be at the collection point?0 -

I think he's got spies.............:D

There are definitely spies abroad as Daffy has literally just been talking about making decisions on NOT DOING things over on her diary. Which in turn got me to evaluate some of the things that I do. And this all before the challenge so at least Daffy and I have a head start on this challenge.
I have that quote from Nelson Mandela on one of my vision boards - in fact it is on the vision board with that has my most important goal on it and NO thats not the landrover one.
I too am figuring out the download of the poster but I am sure that I will get there. Ooh I am one step ahead of Mr. Big because last week or was it the week before I can't remember :rotfl:
I stopped playing FB GAMES this had become a serious problem for me and was actually quite hard to do but it has given me more time for other things including my new business and means I get to bed earlier and in the morning when I wake instead of going straight on the laptop to sort out my gamessad I know I have been reading books that make me feel more positive about things :T so a good move and I don't miss them (well most of the time) as much as I thought I would

Wow, just read the challenge, lightbulb moment. Time to make an effort to stop smoking.
Just read up on Pareto too as had heard the 80/20 thing before.
Hmmmmm relationship marketing. I silently screamed because the company I walked out on a month ago was called something similar.
Coincidence after coincidence are rolling in now.
Anyway I found out today that I may not get paid in new job till 1st December because of cut off date blah blah and was wondering how I was going to cover the shortfall and OH came in from work this evening totally glowing because he has just been awarded a surprise payrise.
And they say everything happens for a reason.
It certainly has since I found this thread and its all good.
The universe certainly is bountiful.
I'm racking my brain now to see if there is anything i can do that might be useful for the thread.
Thank you to everyone for the lovely positivity,0 -
I suppose it is time for an update from me. I have been having a problem with the 250 people list - which is quite simple, really; I have to start doing it. What stops me you might ask? I suppose this is one of my biggest fears - that my list will end with about ten people. I was, after all, the person who last Christmas received three cards at work - two from colleagues from other departments and one from mine. Not a popularity contest Queen eh? But then again, I have not sent Christmas cards for a long time - I send an e-mail and always give the money to the Du Paul Trust (they get young people off the streets).
I am going to do it though - because I have just looked at all the thanks I have had on this site and rememberd that I am a part of you lot. So I can't end up with only ten people, could I?
Also today I gave an absolutely killer lecture in epistemology to 60 PhD students. It is hard, it is heavy and it is next to impossible to make it entertaining without !!!!!!!ising the concept. Guess what? I did it! The Doctoral students reacted to every small nuance I introduced - they laughed, they listened, they reflected, they asked questions. And at the end a fair number of them came to say thank you and how much they are looking forward to next time. There is nothing I enjoy more - this is my way to touch the future.
And I really like today's challenge - will have to consider carefully what is the one thing that if I stop doing I could get much further.
Oh, and tomorrow I'll be so much wiser - it is my birthday.

I have heard from Leeds United and I fear that they are run by idiots. They have turned down my request as they now give the players kits away to charity at the end of the season. Clearly they didn't read my e-mail at all.
I have e-mailed back explaining that actually what I wanted from them was publicity to help me appeal to their fans for outgrown children's shirts and somewhere to collect them.
Probably best to write to the letters page of your local newspaper... If you e-mail them and attach a nice pic, such as one of those Oliveoyl's put on her Facebook thingy, they're quite likely to use it, and you can put your contact details as the, umm, contact.
Gripped and sorted.
