    Karmacat - I love you :p

Hove are organising collection bins & stuff but the last time I can get stuff delivered up by car is the 3rd Novemeber - once I get told how collection is going then this might go on longer & if you could pick up, it would be great.

I seem to have managed to get through to director level with my "oops" e-mail and I don't know what will happen when the the director in charge of my reporting line finds out :o.
He already knows me by name as I once applied for what I thought was a coffee session he was taking - so lots of people would have been there & I could have blended nicely into the bckground & listened. But I should read e-mails properly - it was a 1 to 1 mdentoring session. Oooops

So once I see how things are going, I might get back to you - but thanks

Sounds good! Sounds terrifying actually! I can collect (I'm on foot/public transport) - and store at my house. I could even deliver to Gatwick, I guess, if I can actually get it to my house - what sense do you have of the options there? I've no idea how to phrase that question more accurately ... I know ... what comes next? Sorry, CM, I'm a bit all over :rotfl::o:o:o

Karmacat - I have no idea what the "options" are - I'm as overwhelmed as you are. I'm only a minion in the bank & have productivity targets to meet (you know the type) so when my e-mails went ballistic yesterday I had to go into firefighting mode. But I was good & calm today & will be the same tomorrow & will conbtact people to see what I need to do....

Hey, could have been worse - only sent the e-mail to the whole of C&R rather than the whole bank.:D

Poor you! I'd definitely be in firefighting mode too. We'll take it as it comes, hey? When you think of how little those kids in and around the orphanage and day centre have .... its worth it.

    Hello Guys - Guess Who????

Mr Big just threw me over a new challenge from his brand new iphone so its take a bit of jiggling - but its up and posted now on the blog.

I need to go back and catch up with whats been happening - but the boys and I have just been out to collect 25 tops, shorts and socks (2 full team strips worth)

DS1 was so proud as he struggled to carry in one of the kit bags that he told one of the neighbours what he was doing and he's just came in with another two tops. So I had to promise and come in and tell you before he went off to bed.

So I have........................ so off for a quick catch up, a bite to eat,a couple of aspirin and I will be back to fill you in on the "blast the bank to B*****y" challenge (and if you filled that in correctly you are naughtier than I am):rotfl::rotfl:

  • MG, how lovely that your son is getting so much out of gathering kits for kids. I do some of my work in a hospital and I am hoping the dining room supervisor will let me either put up a notice or put flyers on the tables. But will probably have to go higher up the management chain to get initial approval. Unfortunately we are banned from putting out requests like this via email. If I can also get the post room and the porters on side, to gather and store the kits till I can collect them, it could work really well.

Another good challenge from Mr Big tonight - thank you sir!

    Looking forward to your update.

Yes I filled in the blanks. I know that word too well. When I was little I remember sitting on my doorstep playing with my doll and I was chattering away to her when I called her a naughty B****r. Well, my Mum appeared from the back of the house before I had even finished the word and gave me a clip round the ear and told me I should never use that word again. I didnt understand because she said it to me all of the time!!! What I understood even less was how she could move so fast to give me a clip round the ear for that but not so fast when I fell off my bike several days earlier!
When I was 17 I started a new job and I said about something one day "Well I 'll be B******d" and one of the lads decided, once he realised how naive I was, to explain the meaning to me :eek:

Mmmmm - I think that given the circumstances the word is most appropriate!!!!!!! :T:T

A great challenge from Mr Big today - my problem is going to be just picking *one* thing to stop doing......so need to give the matter some serious thought!
