    Hi All

Thankyou for all the wonderful quotes. I sent a few out this morning to all the staff with my "good morning" email. It put a smile on a few faces and got some in return!

Just got to decide which ones to paint on the wall now!

I can't make Leeds but am still heading up north to the land of the red roses! Hope thats the right way around!!!!!!! To collect the shirts my dad has collected so of anyone is in the Cheshire Stafford area I can collect on my way back down the m6 Monday as will be going to drop them straight off. Or if you can pm me we could possibly arrange a collection point for the Sunday.

    Sx

I' not sure how to ask :)

Ok, I usually wait till I'm alone and then say it straight, outloud (the ask I mean). As in ' Please universe' and then what I want.
Felt daft when I did, but twice now its worked with major results, my new job and DD's too.
Not everybody is comfortable with doing it that way.
You can do it in your mind. certainly canthurt to try...................!!!!!!!!!!

I have had to give up on the other site :( I got in yesterday but when I tried to get in today, it wouldn't accept the password, even though I received the activation email. Driving me to distraction and I am sure I am missing something but not sure what.

Me too !! and i know i'm missing out on something.:(

Lovely to read all the success and positivity going on :T

Well what an utterly fantastic news day today. So much better than sitting down to watch the miserable six oclock news.
OO - well done on the collection point and to everybody who has managed to get stuff together. I am ashamed to say that I failed this task miserably. I had no response to the emails that I wrote asking for help re shipping. Still there will be other projects I am sure
EH - loving your idea. I have toyed with the idea of virtual assistant but like your idea as being a bit more manageable and getting to actually meet people is a bonus
Fantasia - I am so pleased for your DD. Now start bloomin asking for yourself too.
Claire - wishing you much positivity for your op.
MG - what to say? BOOK? well I am looking forward to that. Congratulations on the school and when you are as famous as MR BIG you will be able to attract so many more pupils. I just heard that Huw Edwards the newsreader funds the Welsh Language school in London. How fab is that? Not that I am saying you should fund your school but what better way to give back than being a supporter of your local school?

Good luck in Leeds, hope you all enjoy it and I will be thinking of you all and feeling just a tad envious

Re House stories - here is mine.
When I was 14 I did a geography project for my O level which involved me going around a local village and taking photographs, researching the history and doing a survey of the residents. I came from a little council estate and we had very little money. When we were taking some details from a man in a particular house I was mesmerised by their hall - it had stairs in the hall! (we had a little vestibule) and as it was near to christmas it was festooned in garlands. As we walked away I said to my friend that one day I would live in that house. She said it would never happen as our survey showed that it was all civil servants, firemen, policemen and teachers that lived there. I didnt have a hope in hell.
Fast forward 20 years and I had just sold my little terraced house. I had not even looked at any houses and the couple who had bought the house wanted to move quickly. We made a list and started to look. Nothing suited, then one night my then OH came home and said that he had just passed a house with a for sale sign going up and we should go to look at it. He made the appointment and we went along. Imagine my surprise when I stood in front of the very house that I had said I would live in. My first reaction was I cant live here and told him why to which he answered, well you are a civil servant!!! We viewed, I loved it as much as the first day I saw it. Offered the asking price and moved in 6 weeks later. I lived there with ex OH for 3 years and then on my own for a further 4 years before moving to my next dream location - a house with the man I fell in love with at 15! and reconnected with at 42!
So this comes back to the discussions about making the most of opportunities by focusing your mind on what you want to happen.
