Hello.. eek lots to catch up on! I'll say hello anyway and send lots of :)s and hugs to you all.
Had an interesting day yesterday at a course on 'Dealing with Difficult Situations' - the woman leading it reminded me of you MG, the same sort of energy. Lots of things about assertiveness, confidence, dealing with criticism etc - really made me think. I could do with something like that once a week I reckon, not just a one-off!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Karmcat: I think you have hit the nail on the head! ......
Will have to try really hard to get a decent sofa bed - it's just difficult to get funds together.
Glad I could help! And I echoed Claire's thought - freecycle? At least you can turn it down/give it away againif you don't like it. And, actually - gumtree - people put photos up, usually. Best of luck, I know how difficult it is.
EDIT - just seen your later post, that you're too busy thinking of things to give away to *ask* eek! I hope it goes well now2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well dh is such an ungrateful git! I have done Tuna pasta bake for tea, he took a look at it, pulled a face, took 1 mouthful and chucked it in the dogs dish. This is after he came in and gave everyone a mouthful of abuse and called ds1 a lazy c**t (such a horrible word,) I went mad.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000

Yes my day has been absolutely rubbish and seemed to get worse as it went on.
after sleeping late, coming downstairs to find the animals had eaten the sandwiches emptied the recycling bag all over the kitchen, the cats had flicked cat litter all over the kitchen and the dog wee'd in the bathroom all over the bathmats.
I then forgot to give Ben money for dinner so had to go and meet him.
When I got back, the dog had wee'd yet again in the bathroom on the clean bathmats I put down this morning. Then dh threw his tea in the dogs dish
It has to get better.
ETA :
Plus Popeye is not supposed to eat fish cause her liver is turning yellow and she won't be able to digest it, the sandwiches this morning were Tuna and she ate the Tuna pasta bake that dh threww in the dogs dishBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Hi everyone
Wednesdays I devote entirely to no 1 of my 50 day challenges (finishing bathroom and getting new flooring laid). Today I ripped up the old floor covering and bagged it up and bought nails for the floorboards a few of which wobbled. Happily hammered the first nail in....straight through the central heating pipe which I hadn't realised ran underneath  Trip to B&Q, bought a connector, cut out the leaking part, fitted the connector, refilled the system and bled the radiators. Currently i have a big hole in the floor to jump over to get to the toilet and I daren't put the floorboards back until I'm sure the connector doesn't leak.
Just sat down (Ever wish you hadn't started something)
