Just scrounged myself a room with a Mate on Friday night in Leeds - purely so that I can scope out the new girlfriend over dinner naturally :rotfl::rotfl:

Mum has doubled booked herself on Saturday - so on a mission to find someone to baby sit the wee one here on Sat morning until his Grandad can step in.

Best friend working, second reserve is at college sitting an assessment - I wonder if I taught him how to memorise a pack of cards I could take him with me instead :rotfl::rotfl:

Ah well - I wanted to get back to work whilst being a single Mum - bring it on I say, bring it on :D

Helen105 - are you still OK if I pick up the laminate at the weekend? I'd like to say it would be laid in the hallway by Tuesday evening when the Matrix ladies are paying their Royal Visit:p but we could gaze adoringly at the packs and imagine a clean halway instead:cool:

Cottage pie coming out the oven now - then I must make myself a planning list.

Hi robsmum - this is interesting for me, I've moved houses a couple of months ago and am working at establishing "identities" for the different rooms. This is the quote from your first post about it:
"Part of my 50 day challeng was to declutter the house, which am getting there slowly with.
Realized today that our spare room is just that -SPARE. The room is decorated and furnished but we aren't using it.
We have bookcase, chest of drawers (they are working) an inflatable sofa bed (not good) and old portable tv. When funds allow we want to replace sofa bed with a proper one."

The furniture sounds appropriate to what you want to use it for - except, if you want to relax, what are you sitting on in there? The inflatable sofa bed? Sounds like you don't like it! You say the room is decorated - do you *like* the way its decorated? The colours? Is it warm enough? Are the walls too bare?

Do you believe that you *deserve* a room just for relaxing?

EDIT - MG, you go girl!

    Claire,
Have you thought of taking the batteries out of the camera when you finish using it and putting them somewhere only you know about and others are unlikely to look? (Knicker drawer/ironing basket?)
