Brilliant news!! :T
I'm with another one who doesn't like the telephone. I don't like the lack of nonverbal feedback. However I had to try to overcome my negativity at work, but since I retired I have fallen back in to avoiding making calls to people I don't know if I can!!! What a pathetic baby!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm having a bit of a panic this afternoon. I've just had an appointment with my consultant re my back pain. I'm booked in for surgery next Friday! Can't wait to be in less pain but I know I'm not going to enjoy the process.......

I agree that Youtube and video is a good way to go
Thats it in a nutshell, passion and knowledge of the subject matter, that and being able to converse with Joe Public, voice skills, pitch and tone, verbal nods, and more importantly, listening skills. But the passion and knowledge is what make people buy into a product (oh and it helps if you can talk strangers out of their bank details too):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

), I move around a lot on stage, wave my arms and when I'm doing workshops I do lots of listening (well, I might as well make someone else do the work and rest my own voice!).
Can someone just teach me how to talk people out of their bank details?
I feel LOADS better nowso I'm off to ruin someone else's day be reviewing their work

Greenbee and MG and others that struggle to 'sell themselves' would this idea help?
Imagine yourself on tv, presenting your very finest performance ever, articulate, confident and oozing with charisma....your words are flowing, just pouring out of your mouth....
I'm watching that same tv and want to know more so I ask you to describe her.
Now I'm asking you about her, that person, i.e. YOU on the tv, I'm asking these questions,
Who is she?
What does she do?
How does she do it?
Why is she an expert?
How can she help me?
How do I access her services?
What else do I need to know about her expertise?
Now answer all those questions about you on the imaginary tv and then tweak your script and away you go....
Now get out there and SELL YOURSELF....obviously not in the biblical sense.:D xDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Well done EH:j:j
Today I went to the parent teacher meeting and turns out DD1 is doing pretty darn good. She's catching up more and more as the months go by. I think the teachers remark that if she doesnt work harder she will get left behind was meant that she will get behind that day, not overall.
Anyway he was showing me her english book and what was in it .... A mind map!! OH was well impressed that I already had Mg's book and I think the teacher was quite impressed that I knew what a mind map was!
So I told DD that I saw her mind map and her reply, 'Yeah they're easy to do.':rotfl: Kids, you gotts love em.
Feeling much more positive today and am proud to bits of my darling daughter.:heartsmilLBM 04/10:j

Thought this may be useful Matrix buddies and everyone, found on the Grabbit boards.
Its Tesco vouchers that you may have not used, the Tesco Clubcard website now lists any that you haven't used, I've just found £20 worth that I had mislaid, lost or forgotton about.
Here's hoping you find some lost vouchers.
