My little angel has gone so I am allowing myself a feel sorry for me day
watching mindless daytime TV anything to fill the empty space.
Tomorrow is our anniversary so we will go out for lunch and I will make a real effort to pull myself together as I have loads I need to do but don't particularly want to at the moment after all 50 days is not that long

Really quick update as short lunch today & still have stuff to do....
I heard today that one of the sites that is sending kits up to me on Wednesday has 5 black bin liners full :eek:. And that's just one of the 3 sites. Will update later

OK thanks Karmacat, avatar is a favourite pet!
My challenges are part of an overall ten goals so just going to include ones Id want completed for this year.
1. Christmas sorted and planned for Oct 2010 - got most of my present ideas sorted, just need to write a details plan, and start buying/ordering.
2. Make own xmas cards and do some orders for them.
3. Try and get some extra avon orders, im a rep but not been bothering much with it - time to canvass I guess!
4. Would like to get my flat declutered and a bit better organised, been living with OH for over a year and just recently had a long term houseguest.
SO far progress made on clothes - just need to take to charity shop/ebay/recycle now. Whole flat needs deep cleaned so think I will concentrate on a room per week. Starting with bathroom this week.
5. Meals - im veggie and fussy so aiming to introduce some new meals - aim for 3 new meals by xmas, thinking of trying out some risotto, curry and byrani recipies to see what i like and what freezes well.
Completing meal challenge will give me five choices of meals in freezer, half of my target of 10! (already have two favourites)
Im off work tomorrow so will pop back then and see how I am doing - going food shopping so will maybe try a new recipe out.

2. Fix my final ideal weight and achieve this (I have lost 5 stone in five and a half months :Tnow have to decide whether I need to lose another stone or not)
3. Sort out my capsule wardrobe but as I am going shopping with Souk that should hopefully be pain free although at the moment my wardrobe has lots of empty space as I have got rid of loads of stuff that didn't fit

Well done on losing the weight, 5 stones is a dedicated long term diet! :T
I'm interested in what you say about deciding whether to lose another stone or not as I'm in a similar situation. I'm dieting but I don't know what my goal weight is now. I definitely want to lose another stone on the 50 day challenge but after that I don't know whether it should be 1/2 stone or a stone or more. I haven't been under 10 stone since I was 25 & I'm now 46. I don't know if going below 10 stone would make me look older- show up the wrinkles IYKWIM?
Same dilemma on the capsule wardrobe, I'm now a size 14, I think I will make it to 12 but do I stop there and think, right I can start investing in decent clothes now as I've got the size I want?0 -
JC - good luck with your interview.
MG - I hope you come up with a cunning plan for your DS soon. What was the plan in 2012? Can this be brought forwards a year if he is ahead of his peers now?
DT - ((((hugs)))) Be kind to yourself... it must be difficult for you all.
Right... time to state my 50 day challenge...- Loose at least 6.3lbs (to take me to my next mini-goal of 50% of my excess weight gone)
- Do at least 30 mins of decluttering / sorting / paperwork shredding 5 days a week.
- Decide what furniture needs to go where in my flat (and preferably move it or get rid of it)! Half of it is in the wrong place or doesn't really work where it is now. Will need to kidnap someone to do the lifting though!
- Cook 7 new recipes - things I’ve not tried before.
- Get rid of all clothes that are now too big for me. For some reason this is really scary. I’ve been really big for so long… It’s quite an emotional step to take and one I've been avoiding. Clothes 3, almost 4 sizes too big aren't much use to me now especially as I (hopefully!) continue to loose lots more weight!
- Get my jewellery website/mini business up and running. I'm still not able to do much jewellery making since I broke my wrist and this has really delayed everything. I need to get back more flexibility, motion and fine control in my wrist before I can make much especially the fine and intricate stuff.
- Keep doing my wrist exercises to help it improve and be less painful!
- Start skating again and pass Skate UK grade 8.
- Choose a skating coach – I’ve been really scared of choosing the wrong one and it is getting silly! I’ve narrowed it down to 3 but I need speak to them and get more info. It needs to be done before Dancing on Ice returns to TV in January and the rink and coaches get really busy!
- Go to bed before midnight (unless there is a good reason not to! _party_
)
Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Hi Girls and Guy
Went for the grey ensemble....definitely the right choice - was in similar dress to the employees wandering through reception.
Interview I felt went well - nice people and was able to answer their questions competently. Will hear within the next couple of days if I will be recalled for a second interview.
Thanks for the good wishesClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Isn't it odd that something you really really want (if you are anything like me) can be also quite upsetting in a way.
I think when we are overweight we spend a lot of time trying to blend into the wallpaper or maybe it is the desire to blend into the wallpaper that led me to stay overweight. I feel that people expect more of you, clothes & stylewise when you are a normal weight so getting rid of the old clothes is a bit scary as you are committing yourself to making that extra effort forever.
I expect after a year or two at target weight it will all be second nature and you wouldn't give it a second thought.0 -

Thank you Helen for your kind words.
This is precisely my reasoning I haven't been this weight for over 20 years and at 51 wrinkles are definitely a consideration :eek:the other consideration for me is that I am top heavy and although I have lost weight from the top I have lost a lot more from the bottom if I could guarantee that the next stone would come mainly from the top I would carry on but if it comes off the bottom I am going to be even more unbalanced:D in fact I think I have decided I will lose 10lbs more and then reassess rather than the stone I was contemplating so at least that is the healthy weight set now I just have to reach it :rotfl::rotfl:
As for clothes I have set a date to go shopping with Souk so whatever size I am then that is the size I am buying :T
