MG, sending a request for the Universe to provide for you. Actually, am picturing a teacher who needs a new challenge asking the Universe to help her out (he/she doesn't need to know they are part of our cunning plan
).
So, that's the easy part done then. Right - 50 day challenges .
1. Get down to target weight at SW (then stay at it over Xmas & hol in Jan, then set new target).
2. Read 'The Secret' - have requested a copy from Library
3. Read another 'proper book' - have got details of a few so will look in library
4. To declutter the house & destress my life
5. Think about what I really want the Universe to provide for me - 1, 5 and 10 year plans .
6. Either do wiifit or swim 10 times (any bets on me doing exercise 10 times in last 10 days)
7. Get involved in something, anything.
8. Work out plan to solve problems at work.
Not very inspiring I'm afraid.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Girls (and Mike) I need a bit of guidance!
I have an interview tomorrow - big firm of accountants and its a job I want.... If their website is to be believed then they run their business on the same principles that I try to run my life to!
So...what do I wear??? I'm a big girl - and in proportion; 5'10 big bazookers, big feet (big belly...you get the picture....) and suits just do nothing for me! so my options are
1. A lonline navy jacket and long skirt with a plain T-shirt - downside is the jacket fitted better before I packed in smoking....
2. a long black dress - very flattering but in a jersey material with matching short sleve jersey jacket - lovely hangy thing on the front to. Hubby said to wear this as I look pretty in it (his words) and I feel very comfortable wearing this outfit but its not 'businessy'
3. animal printy vest top thingy with attached long line light grey jersey jacket with dark grey pinstripe trousers.
The job is for accounting technicain (my workwear at the moment is trousers and a top and more casual than I think would be suitable to this firm)
I know there are lots of accountants here - and Souk - HELP!!!
PS - I mind mapped the website....love itClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Right all, here's my challenges:
1. Get all my Xmas shopping done by 1st Dec so I can enjoy all the social stuff in December with the money in that budget/time to spare I will have. (I usually near enough do this as I hate having to go into other peoples mental shops in December on my days off from my own mental shop but need to be sure it's ALL done) May have to do my bros in Dec but that's another story.
2. Cook/Bake more fab stuff from my cookbooks for myself and friends and get out of food rut.
3. Decide whether to gym or swim and do one of them three times a week. (This is going to be a real challenge as I love my sofa but need to shift myself)
4. Establish a Glasgow branch of the matrix and meet them at least twice in the time limit (Any takers?)
5. Do something for my business every day.
JC do you have another smart jacket you could wear over the jersey dress? Could you borrow one. That sounds nice.'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Still musing on your school situation MG...
You need more power... Boxing gloves on girl.
Can you out yourself forward as a parent governor for the school. Don't know how your school is set up but most schools have teacher and parent representatives on their boards.
Can the board actually do this legally?
Is their a higher Montessori body that the school has to report to?? Official complaint needed to them.
Is their anyone outside the school with "clout" who you can appeal to and who can "lean" on the school?? A local official looking for re-election??
Appeal to their [STRIKE]better[/STRIKE] financial natures .... Let's see a school whose HT's husband is handy with his fists and where the HT has not restricted his access to the children. A school whose governing body would kick two children out of school and let their education suffer at a crucial time in their schooling. That's a story that the media would love... Wouldn't see them getting too many more pupils.0 -

In MG's words - me, me, me, pretty please.0 -

Hopefully you have time to try all on tomorrow. Get yourself ready, hair, make up & heels. Then put a chair in the middle of your biggest room. Walk in, go over to the sofa or whatever & shake hands with the panel. Then walk to the chair and sit down. Answer the question you're dreading the most. What one do you feel most comfortable in? Not necessarily the one you think you look the best in while standing in front of the mirror. You need to be able to concentrate on the questions - not trying to remember to hold your tummy in etc.
Good luck :T:T:TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
