  • Hi MG

Another one coming out of lurkdom to ask to take part in the next 50 day challenge.

I am going on holiday on the 20th December and would really like to achieve the following by then:-

    1. De-clutter and re-furnish living room and spare room (new carpet being layed tomorrow)

    2. Sit entrance exam for C & G Course

    3. Listen to Paul McKenna CD's every day

    4. Research and hopefully buy a treadmill

    5. Order copy of The Secret from library

Have deliberately set the bar low so that I don't get to easily de-motivated.

    oh well done Robsmum :)

Ds2 started growing veg in the summer :) we had a few onions that was it, he was so disapointed

What did you try and grow?
One of the easiest things to grow is courgette (I find growing a pair does better than a single one). We had so many this year I was sick of them by last month :o Cauliflower is difficult, it's not easy to grow as it can be temperamental. Broccoli is easy as long as you have suitable protection from the Cabbage White Butterfly. Leeks are faily low maintenance and carrots I grow in large tubs - if they are at a height above 30cm you avoid the worst of Carrot Root Fly.
Check out the Gardening board if you need any tips for next year. OK here at Chez Bitsy we're not exactly self sufficient like the Good Life but I love growing my own veg. I quite fancy an apple tree now ;)

Just spent the afternoon round at a friends house. They have all given me orders for some of my Christmas Craft (paid for, not free) so my first customers :T OK it's hardly a hand crafted empire but who knows what the future holds :D

MG - the post that Scottishlass quoted is wonderful. Gave me hope for all my dreams :D

Claire - hope your arm co-operates for you real soon xx

Courgette - Congrats on your new arrival x

I do like the parcels but I need to see how the Christmas ones go as so far things are not going according to plan :rotfl:but at least I have a lot of Christmas presents sorted :D

So no rush but I would like the snowman ones by the 18th November as I want to add them to some snowman soup prezzies and my sister is coming up to collect them :T

oops I hope this post is OK :o I keep forgetting :(

On Alzheimers, music therapy seems to be getting some good results, sometimes they use classical music, but sometimes it's music from people's youth and later to reawaken memories.
